If you look across to the right wing, Penaud became a fixture in the France side after one season playing for Clermont… a season he started as back-up for Rougerie at 13
I suppose 'it's only Italy' has to be said but . . . . Pace on the ball + 15-man continuity + Aldritt = pretty damned good!
Yep. Like watching a different sport and that’s just the intent. The execution is like watching a different species.

If England had to win this, they could. Samoa’s set pieces are creaking, and their handling under pressure is inaccurate. I’m not convinced that England really want it though. They’re barely applauding opposition knock ons.

That's such poor reffing. It's not clearly off the Samoan guy and they'd already taken the conversion.

Samoa really deserve to have at least 5 extra points. England are playing terribly, I'm guessing Ford will cop the blame for this.
What happened to that conversion law? Is it no longer in force? This officiating is a fuukking farce? If the try can be reversed after the kick, then is there any provision for reversing the reversal and awarding the try? Yet again the minnows are being cheated out of a result.
According to the commentary, decisions can be altered up to the restart so nothing wrong with the process.

FWIW as a "neutral" I think the TMO k-o call was forensically correct.

I also think Samoa can look Brian McNeice in the eye and ask, "Are you watching EVERYTHING that closely, Brian? Are you REALLY?"

Happened to Wales too. But that was a TMO after-the-fact foul play that brought play back to before the try, so more justification for it.

Earl has only come once so far, and I think that was for a turnover.

No more Coors Light for you, old bean.
Sake, believe it or not.
Bloody hell. You’re doing well to type anything. A friend of mine brought some back from Japan once, the first and last time I’ve drunk it. The only thing worse I’ve drunk is absinthe.
I’ll raise you one glass of black balsam I had in Riga - such was the hangover I missed two random hostellers shag each other in the bunk opposite - completely spark out and it took my mate to raise a bacon sandwich in front of me and say wake up we’re late for the holocaust museum…

Soo. if Samoa win with a BP, they get 11 points, right? So they still can't qualify as both Japan and Argentina have the head-to-head. Or am I figuring that wrong?

Is Borther’s going to stick Billy on openside whilst Curry’s being patched up? Just to add a bit of gas ;)

Even after correcting himself Monye still tried to give Farrell some credit for chasing back and not doing anything.

I think if Samoa get a BP win, and Japan draw with Argentina with no BPs, it goes to points difference. Samoa is ahead of Japan on PD.

Earl needed to offload that. He only had three options, in his defence… probs orders not to do anything adventurous.

It relies on you dominating the contact and staying connected, England aren't doing either.
