Yes, Laidlaw at 9 so it's a moot point whether they are fit or not. We already knew those 3 were devastating in attack. Seymour has hit new heights though, I'll give him that.

Shame for Denton but let's be honest, apart from during RWC 15 when he wasn't utterly sht...he's generally been pretty drastic for Scotland.

On a slight tangent, people can give out about Laidlaw all they want but when your pack gets blown away in contact, you could have EinE at SH and still struggle. We need a pack and a backrow that can cope at the breakdown.

Case in point - saw comments about Pyrgos on Sat slowing things down. Personally thought he was fine. When your pack can't get over the gainline then it's pretty fckin difficult.

Completely fair on Denton. He'll have a stormer every time people have just about lost faith in him, then seems to go a bit aimless again.

Laidlaw stymies so much potential good/quick ball that he doesn't get to use that excuse. I'd say he generally has more of a negative impact on our gain-line than anybody in the pack, most games.

I think Denton gets a bit of the whipping boy treatment sometimes. He has been no where near as bad as some would suggest but by the same token he shouldn't be seen as a cert based on recent club and international form of all the options.

I am hopeful Bradbury can become the player we thought Denton could be. He has a bit of pace, good carrier and good hands.

Your point about Laidlaw would be valid if he didn't slow down perfectly good ruck ball when the forwards clear quickly or if he hadn't shown he is capable before. He should just about keep his place for the time being as we need his kicking but at 31 in a few weeks his time is nearing an end and we need someone to step up and take the shirt from him. There are plenty of younger options (at least 6 on full contracts at the 2 pro sides, Scott Steele etc) but no one has made a really strong case.

Pyrgos has taken on kicking duties at Glasgow, if he can attain a high percentage he's a shout for straight replacement.

I tried too hard... The campbells I know were in the blackwatch. From a military family which has been serving the Empire for 300 odd years. I dont believe they are from the Argyle branch though. Lovely familly history, repressing in India, bounty hunting aboriginees in Australia, more recently, "peace keeping" in Northern Ireland.

Breadalbane is very definitely in the Highlands - Highland Perthshire. It is Black Watch country, though.
