Hey numbskull, you don't get on the wrong side of the Mooch and live to tell the tale, capiche.
I'd have paid good money to see him try the hard man act with some of the retired generals who currently reside in the White House.
I wonder if the appointment of Franks will bring some professionalism to the WH? He might not be tied into the Republican Party as much, but if he can get the place looking presidential it would be a start.
Obviously a major problem with that plan is the fact that the president isn't presidential.
This is a human being that is broken beyond repair. He cannot be coached to be professional because he doesn't know how to do his current job. Simple as that. The Washington Post reported last night that he intervened in his aides plan to adopt transparency with the issue of his spanner of a son meeting with that russian lawyer. They planned to be upfront about it being to obtain information on the competing democratic candidate during the election campaign, but Fuckface senior personally dictated a fabricated story about it being concerned with a program to adopt Russian children. He concocted this at the G20 meting. No standing up to the North Korean threat, no dialogue on climate policy, not discussion about trade policies. Instead his overriding priority was to cover his son's arse while his barbie doll daughter/wife sat in his seat for a while wearing her party dress and a reality TV serious face. How do you possibly help a person like this?

Yep, she got it very, very wrong. What a spastic!

An incorrect assumption by an author of children's books makes the current US administrations catalogue of incompetence just pale in comparison. Sweet baby jesus, just what the fuck?

Aaaaaand acknowledged so.
It feels strange that I'm now playing the role of defending JK Towling who I couldn't care less about. I sense you didn't agree with my assessment of that weirdo YouTube guy you posted? If I missed out on something profound I may go back and check it out.

She also apologised for her mistake. I wonder what apologies we will get to hear from the Trump administration; I'm guessing none.

Right.
Anyway...
Anybody heard Scott Adams' take on Trump?
I can't say I've ever really paid attention to this guy but I heard his discussion with Sam Harris where he was heralded as one of the more eloquent and intellectual Trump supporters, so I was intrigued. If you've got two hours to kill there is some interesting stuff in there (https://www.youtube.com /watch?v=ReKIJvOJDrs [how do I prevent this link from embedding as a video?]) but if this is the best the Trumpeters have it is pretty telling.
Maybe it's not. Maybe this guy is a hack. I have no clue. But these are pretty much the most rational arguments for Trump that I've heard, yet it largely falls back on saying that all politicians lie- thus are all equally bad- or that Trump goes for hyperbole knowing he can then dial it back later. This is an intelligent guy that openly supports Trump, yet seems to spend most of this evading questions or derailing the conversation with his strange, arbitrary semantics.
Oh, and he "get's things done". That features A LOT. I don't know if there was some sort of correspondence between the Tories over here and the Republicans in the US to co-ordinate their use of the "get the job done/get on with it/there's a job to do" bullshit but there seems to have been a whirlwind of it in the last few months. Or has it always been that way?

So basically what you're saying is that Trump is the Owen Farrell of politics?

Trump has set out how clearly he wants not only reduced regulation and reduced taxes, which come with pros and cons, but also how keen he is on keeping interest rates down. In a subtle move that few will manage to read between the lines of (Trump being often considered a new Machiavelli or 4D chess player) he's told the head of the Fed Reserve she might keep her job if interest rates stay low. I doubt she will keep her job as she was appointed by Obama, and she likely doesn't say enough nice things about Trump.

That's Irrelevant.
He's getting millions of views;
You're a nobody getting precious about someone you claim you "couldn't care less about".
Profound eh?

Yeah I'm stoked that policy has been replaced by social media hits. It's great.

Not the biggest issue but when Trump commented recently he's had positive phone calls from Mexico over his border wall, and a positive phone call from the head of the boy scouts to praise his self-serving speech to the scouts the Whitehouse has now had to confirm that in a strictly technical sense those phone calls never happened.
The Whitehouse suggested him saying he'd had those phone calls was okay as he had spoken to other people, which is a bit odd as a defence for Trump being a bit pathetic. I guess mainly does he now know every phone call he makes is detailed?

Achievements this week for Trump are no actions on healthcare other than to suggest he may simply undermine the current system, to still not have started serious work on the budget, to have once more held off on telling the Pentagon what he wants as the strategy on Afghanistan, and whilst he signed the sanctions bill on Russia, North Korea and Iran he then claimed it was wrong to have asked him to do so, that he had no choice but to sign, and that as he's run a business it'd be better to have him free to act as the President (by which he likely means as a dictator) in such areas.

Trump trumps the economy, ignoring the growth is the whole coming out of the recession that Obama took over, a weak dollar helping exports and shale gas helping to curb inflation and thus none of it is down to him, and comments that the DJIA has reached a record high and that doesn't just happen. Only it does just happen, without checking I'd be astonished if the DJIA hadn't set new highs under Reagan, Bush, Clinton, Bush Jnr and Obama

He understands nothing of any of this. His overriding focus is popularity. How the fuck he managed to run a business is beyond me, but then again I suppose he didn't.
Lots of effort going into pushing back on affirmative action and such like by the way. The NAACP issued it's first ever travel advisory. For Missouri. If you be black and going on through, be advised the cops are mandated to be cunts to you.

I'm going to suggest that he hired some talented people to make his businesses work - where he didn't he failed.
Trump was a front man making the most out of his family name and a primeval ability to spot weakness and exploit it.

He has neither. You don't need it when you are given thousands of properties in Manhattan and can borrow money from the mob. What businesses does he actually run?

Having an interest free $1million loan from Daddy is a businessmans dream. As I wrote below, I don't think he 'runs' any businesses. In my view he 'owns' a number of businesses which other people 'run' for him, to greater or lesser levels of success, but he is the front man who brings:
His family name.
An ability to bully people based on his family name and wealth.
If he had started out with nothing but a loan from the bank, I very much doubt that he would be in business at all.

From memory, many of his business ventures have involved him effectively selling his name.
