Impressive display in general. Pack really worked hard with Grant, Mackenize and Toolis making dents all the time. Kinghorn is a constant menace to defences and he should be around the Scottish squad.

What about the new fly half. Is he much better?

Looks the fairly typical solid South African fly half to me. Does everything pretty well but not exceptional at anything. Worth a bit more of a look but I don't see an exciting player there that will become a long term fixture.
Good start and finish to th game. We look so much better playing at tempo and the pace noticeably quickened when SHC and Toolis came on. The first time he touched th ball SHC made ten meters with a little snipe down the blindside and then we lost the ball because no one went in to play scrum half and exploit it. For the middle period of the game the creative tactic seemed to be back to give it to Kinghorn (who did look really good again).

Rumours that SHC could be off to either Bath, Newcastle or L Irish. Bath stands out as the odd one there for me. Newcastle would be a bad move as they have a very good first choice scrum half currently, Irish are going down but Bath could be a great move for him.

Pyrgos could well be shifted if SHC moves.
Too wayward a pass for me.

He has to move on really. Fowles and Kennedy under contract and Sheil deserving of a step up based on what I've heard of his prem performances. Unless they plan on rel3asing kennedy.
Edinburgh need a quality 9 and it doesn't matter if they are SQ for me as long as they do a job for a year or 2 until the likes of Shiel and Munro (and mcandrew for that matter) come through.

Looks like SHC might finally getting back to some form after getting some game time.
Given that (and I agree that Embra need a quality 9; Fowler is awful) why would you want SHC to move on?

The SRU don't tend to just bin SQ contracts halfway through there term so Fowles and Kennedy are still contracted for next year. I did caveat it with unless Kennedy was moved on. For whatever reasons coaches seem to like Fowles.
In an ideal world of bin Fowles and Kennedy, bring in a quality 9 with SHC and Sheils.

Robbie Freuan to retire apparently. Absolutely the right thing to do.
Shame the gamble hasn't paid off, but it was still worth taking.

Fair enough. Hope he gets a round of applause at the next home game and a chance to say “bye”.

Rizzo has been recalled back to Leicester.

Edinburgh sign some random championship prop as Rizzo leaves a hole. Matt Shields from Rotherham. Doesn't look promising for Dicko.

Is shields not a tighthead?

I have no idea. It was pushed in the same story as Rizzo being recalled so I assume it was a replacement.
Sutherland, Dicko, Marfo, Dell.
Nel, Berghan, McCallum, Bryce.
Bryce is naff and Dicko still nowhere to be seen. So not exactly clear what side the new lad is meant to cover.
On that note Bryce must be kicking himself over this positional switch. I mean the man got a couple of Scotland caps as a hooker... I think the SRU have failed the player a bit here.

Berghan either injured or due a mandated rest period as the new boy is straight onto the bench with mccallum starting. A few changes with the most exciting being graham getting his chance. Somewhere between a first and second team I reckon.
Is this televised anywhere?
Edinburgh: Kinghorn; Hoyland, Dean, Burleigh, Graham; Van der Walt, Hidalgo-Clyne; Marfo, McInally (capt), McCallum, Toolis, Gilchrist, Bradbury, Watson, Mata.
