You've got loons in the comments suggesting a 12 month ban! Then the article saying he could get fired! Scarlets would be out of their mind to sack him imo.

What did Hartley get when he called the ref a fucking cheat? Lets start at that, half it because hes not Hartley, half it for a good record and half it because it wasn't directly at the ref nor did he acuse the ref of cheating.

The Scarlets won't be sacking him, they are just getting their statement in early in the hope it mitigates some of his behaviour in the ruling.

The w@nker sign was not a good look.
Ill be stunned if they sack him. A fine and some time spent helping a local community group would be perfectly enough. He should know better but I agree that the Scarlets are making sure the world knows that they are taking it seriously.

3 weeks sounds about right tbh.
Yeah, can't really complain about that.

Looks like Will Boyd to start for Sunday's match then.

Seems about right, anymore and it would again be a mockery of the system. Hopefully he has learnt from it (not just that TV cameras see everything!) and it will get a message across to others. Hopefully ref will be encouraged to use the extra 10 metre rule again for the arm waving, card suggesting etc that seems to be creeping in at all levels.

Agreed. 3 weeks seems fair.

I would like to see a penalty given for play acting or trying to influence the ref. It feels like the top of a slippery slope and that nonsense has no place in our game.
