It means I'll be giving crooked smiles for the following few days. Next appointent's on Tuesday. I expect a little more china-work on the other side. Mashallah!

While the East Coast of North America freezes all the way down to Florida, temperatures here remain in the mid-teens and are forecast to climb into the twenties next week. Amazing! This time last year we had snow. Today I was walking around in a T-shirt while the sun was shining

You're a day early with that proclamation..steady on.
A wee snowdrop in a sheltered spot, has been brave and flowered ahead of the pack in t'back garden...not sure what he's thinking.

Not quite a day. 23 hours, 51 minutes and 46 seconds, to be precise.

'The 87-year-old actor Dick Van Dyke has escaped unscathed after his car burst into flames on a freeway in the Los Angeles area...'
Great news that he was unharmed.
If asked by Police if the car was making any strange sounds before becoming aflame, he may have replied:
.....
(genuine Carribean coconut for best answer)

So I got the other side done today. It's called the
implant overlay system. First they grind what's left of your natural teeth down to stubs, and then they basically put what amounts to a porcelain
sheath over the top. They're rock solid, look good, and don't need removing at night or anything like your grandpa's dentures! Also, if you did manage to break them, it's just be a casing of replacing them, of course. So now I have a Hollywood smile! But none of it's real - just like Hollywood
Oh, & the left side cost me 800 Turkish liras too. Grand total 1600 TL, or about US$400

I still have all my hair and perfect eye-sight (despite being an avid reader), which is lucky for a middle-aged guy, but my teeth went to pot a long time ago cos I've got a sweet tooth (almost literally, these days). This overlay implant has solved that problem entirely, however

From E. Standard..
According to a recent YouGov poll, the most popular New Year’s resolutions for 2018 are as follows:
1. Eat better
2. Exercise more
3. Spend less money
4. Self care (i.e. get more sleep)
5. Read more books
6. Learn a new skill
7. Get a new job
8. Make new friends
9. Get a new hobby
10. Focus more on appearance
Might struggle with 3 of these, but fair enough.
(ongoing for a decade or two....)

Mine was number 1 on that list - again. I did so successfully last year, ditching fast food and getting more fresh vegetables into my diet. But I didn't give up the sugary foods. So that's my goal this year but it's not happening right now.

Coming up..
February 9–25 – The 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea.
(Paralympics from 9 to 18 March..GB&NI does well at these usually..)
April 4–15 – The 2018 Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia.
No invite on this occasion, disappointingly.
Will Gold bring Gold, more than the rest this time ?
