The kind of underdog result that puts a smile on your face. Well done Edinburgh. Absolutely amazing.

Not suggesting Edinburgh were underdogs going into the match but after Berghan was Berghan everything was against them.

Congrats to the fans! Enjoyed that one.

Having said that... I thought the ref blew up at that last maul! A lot of the players seemed to think so too...

So did Dean. Chuffed with that result.

WTF happened?

Just at party now and taking a moment to check after I got WiFi code. Great result for Enbra, particularly if Connacht win.

Who won the hooker battle? How did Toolis play?

Looking forward to watching it. Seems a strange decision to take Watson off but assume there was method to the apparent madness.

McInnally MoM but I don't think he was standout - very good though.

Toolis was the best lock on the park IMO.

SHC won the battle of the 9s as well. He was like a Jack Russell on crack but took it a bit too far at times, I thought. He got very combative with Price on more than one occasion - a point to prove perhaps?

Mata & Smith (weeg) also standout.

When you consider the naive try that Edinburgh let the weeg score this result is even more impressive. Standing off the maul is not something you try on your 5m line - as they found out, it's too late to resolve the situation if the ref doesn't play ball.

Starters watching the game.

Nice try by weeg. Nice carry by Watson then Berghans brain fart. He can get to fuck.

Sutherland looks much lighter than he has been. Not sure if it's just been that long since I saw him play.

Not been impressed with the weeg back row except smith who looks like he has something about him. Harley anonymous and Vunisa just been held up by a 9. Edit, then he and Harley contrive to let the ball out the scrum. More Harley than vunisa.

Van der Merwe looks keen. Will be interesting how he develops.

That decision on how to defend that line out was terrible.

Anyone want to mention VdW's handoff on Dunbar?

Russell kicking when there was a 5 on 2 was mind boggling.

Gray put in another good shift but thought like HW said Toolis was the best lock on the park.

I think Edinburgh are going to have issues at prop in the coming weeks.

Fair play to Mata, when he came over from the 7s I said he looked a bit soft. Seems to have gotten used to 15s again and looks very solid. At times Smith was a one man back row for Galsgow; Vunisa and Harley were poor.

For Glasgow I think in part this was a bad day at the office but it is a side full of internationals and should be putting away decent sides who have 14men for 75min.

I think there is potential in the Edinburgh backline. Van der Walt looks to have potential to be decent, Bennett, Graham, Kinghorn, Van der Merwe and Dean are all of a decent age. It is just going to take time but they are heading in the right direction as a side.

On a coaching side I think RC got it about right. Big call to take off Watson but also to bring Ritchie on for Fife.

Oh and the Glasgow defence was ridiculous for the try. Kenny Murray should be going through them.

The Glasgow board is quite amusing this morning. Apparently the rules RE timekeeping need a serious look at with an independent time keeper brought in. All because of the game being blown up after VDW kicked his conversion attempt

Pyrgos seemed to be applauding the try at the end before it was scored.

Anyway, hopefully it’s a rocket up some players’ arses before the 6N. Seymour needs 2 weeks in the sun somewhere.

Big test for McCallum v his u20 alum. Hes been playing both sides and LH is probably his weaker side. Rumours that Sutherland has injured an arm/shoulder seem to have been truthful.

No surprise Edinburgh stick with a very similar line up barring prop issues. They didn't have much defensive work last week which tends to be the most energy sapping part of the game.

Glasgow dropping Jones to the bench is a slight surprise but they are going to need to manage him over the next few weeks. He played a lot during the Currie cup and then straight into the AIs so may need a rest.

Big ask for Smith to back up last week's performance v a fresh Watson this week. Will be a good test for him.

And Seymour finally dropped or rested. Hopefully away to a warm country for a week or 2s rest and to clear his head. Edit: just seen he is injured.

Looks like both teams have injury crises of their own. Weeg in the back row & at lock and Edinburgh in the props.

Still think it'll be a solid win for Glasgow.

It's crazy to think Edinburgh are missing 4 international looseheads and 1 international TH to injury. It's as unprecedented an injury crisis as I can remember for a club at prop.

It's actually mental. There s nearly 20 Scottish internationals injured across the player pool.

Front row battle would have been really interesting with:
Dell (leaving dicko out due to long term crock), Rambo, Nel v a fully fit kebble, Brown, Fagerson with Marfo, Ford, McCallum, Bhatti, Turner and Nuk.

I saw mike Adamson ref a club level game years ago and my initial thoughts haven't changed. Terrible ref. Some bad calls already.
