Quite looking forward to this game. I think Ireland are favourites but it should be a good game.

Betfair were offering 4/1 on us yesterday, it's less than 3/1 now so it looks like a few of our comrades are feeling confident.welshsaint wrote:Ireland to win 2/5Sandydragon wrote:2 big losses. Two hours to go and I’m quite nervous.
For all the Irish talk about the loss of their three Lions they still have a very strong and experienced team and they boast more than fifty more caps than Wales.
I think it will be close and I just hope that Halfpenny’s long range kicking gives us the final advantage.

Hold your nerve, Big Fellah. We Irish bet like we vote; early and often. The odds will lengthen in the next hour or so as the pubs start to fill.Numbers wrote:Betfair were offering 4/1 on us yesterday, it's less than 3/1 now so it looks like a few of our comrades are feeling confident.welshsaint wrote:Ireland to win 2/5Sandydragon wrote: 2 big losses. Re: Team for Ireland
We're losing the excuses game badly already. Much being made of "3 returning Lions" and Ireland's absentees, not enough countering with the continued absence of Warburton, Faletau, Davies, and Webb.

You’re right! I bet our missing Lions have amassed far more caps than the missing Ireland Lions.Sourdust wrote:We're losing the excuses game badly already. Penalty count is ridiculous but its one-way traffic.
Looks like the era of exciting, attacking rugby under Gatland lasted one game.

Looked like quite clear accidental offside there for that try.

What happened there when biggar turned over the ball because he was gesticulating? Was he claiming he was being tackled in the air? It just loojed very peculiar.

True, but he was fairly clearly caught in the air.bruce wrote:Yank Biggar off, too feckin busy complaining about everything.

Wow.....some spectacular one sided reffing. That scrum penalty for the 30 points was appalling.

That call was laughably bad.Handyosprey wrote:Wow.....some spectacular one sided reffing. That scrum penalty for the 30 points was appalling.
Ireland enjoyed the rub of the refereeing green but were the better side over the course of the game.

That shouldn't stop Wales complaining about the Mobius Strip refereeing, though.

Aki not getting yellow...Biggar clearly taken out by best for the try under the posts.
We wernt great but ireland had some extraordinary lucky calls in their favour.
