Yeah. Fantastic analogy. That's really won me over to the Jolly Japes Games.

Are you taking a similarly moral stance about watching the Masters. That bastion of misogyny, anti-Semitism and racism.

Always love the experience of becoming an expert in a sport you know nothing about after watching for an hour.
'She's butchered that Jete.'.

Without getting too homoerotic about it, that Cypriot gymnast was quality.

Commonwealth is an oxymoron.
If they're good enough to play at World Cups, why not in between?

You're a miserable bunch of twats.

I have a theory about why Aussie tv don't predominantly show the leaderboard. They have a more spiritual understanding of the essence of sport.

Enjoyed NI's gold on the pommel horse...

Imagine beating Max Whitlock!

What an incredible effort.

Scotland beating the Aussies in the bowls men's triple final was pretty immense too.

I noted that SA and England both sent the bulk of their 1st choice (including coaches) to Oz rather than HK whereas Scotland had their 1st choice in HK (including a few 15s players).

It really depends on the event, for instance European medals in sprinting are easier to come by.

I'm looking forward to the 7s on Friday.

If you won a Commonwealth bronze in bowls, would you tell anyone about it?

Well I suppose it's a step up from National level isn't it so make of that what you will.

The British failure on the track continues. There's a 400m Fella who might medal but it's looking very bad.

Who outside the Commonwealth plays lawn bowls? Winning a medal here is probably quite a big deal. Similarly netball and rugby 7s features most of the best teams.
Outside of that, though, you are looking at some very ropey levels of competition.

Nope. They win because they love it. Love it, love it, love it.

Suddenly occurs to me that watching the Brits on the track has been like watching Kevin Keegan running the 1500m on Superstars.

Squash was bloody good.
I think Bowls is more popular than you'd expect.

So the Aussies that don't win events obviously hate it, hate it, hate it?

Or perhaps their opponents love it, love it, love it and bit more?
