Currently she's more upset from her guts, having eaten something she obviously shouldn't have - worried that it might be something in our new wildflower "meadow.
Well that's been 2 weeks from hell.
She was on chicken and rice for that week - during which nothing much changed.
Then antibiotics for a week - during which she deteriorated significantly.
Vets 4 days ago weighed her as having lost 4kg since her vaccination in May; took a blood test.
Got the results Tuesday - 0 protein, 0 cholesterol, some anaemia.
She crosses the Rainbow Bridge tomorrow.

I'm a complete wreck

Oh, and Tal's got gut-rot now as well - but I'm pretty sure that's a mixture of heat and anxiety

Sorry to hear that WT, it's awful.

It was so much easier to blame Them. It was bleakly depressing to think They were Us. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

Ahhh mate, so sorry to hear that. I'm not on the forum much these days so really sorry I couldn't reply sooner.

Have a hug WT, and not even a man hug.

She is in good company with Poppy at Rainbow Bridge.

I lost my last Briard to cancer. it is heart breaking but you have to console yourself with the fact that they had a spectacular life with you. And they wouldn't have had that without you.

My latest Briard and black dog enjoying the snow.
