I don’t know if this is the thread or not for this. Am just wondering who the Scottish team would be. A composite S6/8 team, or maybe even a Development team full of mostly U20s and some seasoned pros? Am just thinking they’ll have to be at least semi-pro if they’re playing the Cheetahs.

On its own, I’ve no idea about the quality of that source. Therefore, I tried to corroborate it with another (personal) source who reckons the plans are definitely true (indeed, a few of these countries have been planning this for some time). However, that person didn’t know whether there would be a Scottish team in it…

TBH it looks like a load of pish.
The funding is key. I can't see the bigger unions splashing cash on lower tier clubs jetting around. So the money needs to come from somewhere else like

Smaller unions finding loads of cash

Difficult to see any of these coming to fruit. We'll see soon enough as the thread suggests Cheetahs have been pushing it for ages and it should all be tied up this month
