Embra have previous for it, so I'm going to go with the former, not sure though.

They don't have a game though, really harsh as those boys could make a big difference just like Fagerson.

Aye, your guess is as good as mine though. Could be a any number of reasons. Might have been an U20's call with regard to continuity within the squad. Seems a shame though. Thought it was rough when they were pulled to sit on the Embra bench. That may have jaded my opinion, as Embra might have nothing to do with this. Could also be injures. Blood from a stone is easier than keeping track of that. Shit, I get way more information from here and PR than I ever have from the SRU.

Could be a player management issue? Kinghorn is just turned 19 and Richie has started the last 3 or 4.
Fagerson has started/benched/rested over the last month so I don't know if these guys are given set number of minutes they play before they try and give them a break.
That and as the catman said could be a continuity call.

Possibly. Fagerson has had very few minutes being shifted between toony's rotation games and 2 min cameos for Scotland. Then again I don't think Kinghorn is at risk of playing too much. Solomons loves him as a bench option.

Yeah was just speculating. Think Kinghorn has started 3 in a row. And appears to be 1st choice XV now so they may see this as a chance to rest him. But then again who knows.

7-3 down and struggling in the scrum a little. Rain is not helping either

I'm having problems with the stream. It's stuck on 17.19.
Missed all the action and we lead 11-7 apparently..

Spectacular try for the French. One of the smallest dead ball areas I've ever seen and they score that... wow.
The boys are playing well just falling off a few tackles and the french are taking full advantage.

Clock goes red and pen for us on the half way line. Hastings has distance AND accuracy. Wow... Great kick. 17-14 to France at HT.

They never really looked like getting a foothold in the game to win it. It's a shame there's little chance of continuity with the U20s, I think they'd benefit a lot from being together and for longer.
The good news is there are a lot of boys in that squad that should be making a career out of pro rugby.
Glasgow are spoiled rotten at lock with Cummings & Davidson attached and then there is Hunter-Hill as a worst case scenario which is not a bad position to be in.
Smith at 7 looks like he could make the step up if given the opportunities but I'm just not sure we have the space at any of the pro clubs.
Hutchison and Hastings have all the potential in the world but I am a little concerned about club game time for them over the next couple of years. Hastings especially. Glasgow need another fly half to challenge Russell and I really hope Toony looks towards the youth.
Nairn is another one, great environment to be in while you're learning but I don't see where the top flight game time is coming for him over the next couple of years.
Howarth and Galbraith are the other two I think may step up but there are a lot of players in the way in Scotland.

Let's hope that he doesn't go the same way as Bordill who's looked like he has potential when given fleeting chances but never given a proper opportunity.
However Hardie aside I don't actually really rate any of our sevens (though Favaro is becoming a bit of a cult hero). All have something to offer but all have more flaws than strengths. If he's the real deal he should be able to make it regardless.
