Understatement...

No-one comes out of that half of rugby with any credit.

Why won't Farrell play some rugby instead of just kicking it up in the air? It must be the coach's requirement presumably.

Jones has a similar countenance (and colour and brainpower) to the Halloween pumpkins I saw on sale at Asda this morning

Also some players; Slade & especially Watson looking rather porky - May not brilliant either. Tom Curry manfully subbed in the second row but we should have had more specialist backup and shows that‘s the risk of fielding a backrow with no specialist jumpers (in fact only Curry offers some sort of jumping option at all in Curry Underhill Billy trio)

Do we think Youngs and Farrell forgot we needed to win with 4 tries, and by a lot of points, against one of the worst Italian sides we've seen?

The box-kicking is just soul sapping.

Imagine the feeling when we no longer have to watch Ben Youngs be our scrum half.

Robson and Umaga at 50 minutes please.

That was the main goal going into this - a scrappy resilient win will be another fail.
Lawrence should get a run, but may not see much ball.

Bit of a flashback to early Youngs there, when we were naive and believed he may be a force for good.

Youngs does a Phil Bennett impression!
5 - 17, 43 mins.

Is 45 minutes too much to ask for?

In terms of player safety and culpability when making a dangerous tackle, it's hard to say why smashing someone's nose with your head is much different to catching them with a stray arm.

May also got lucky when he tackled that Italian player in the air.

Haha. Just garbage from Farrell. Lucky the ref didn't notice we had about 6 players wander offside by the time he finally kicked that.

If George had cocked that up, he should have walked off and retired from international rugby.

Even the ref has switched off. Don't blame him

We look clueless in midfield without the "chuck it to the big lad" option. No idea how to use Joseph in attack.

5 - 24 try George, despite ref. looking at wrong line. 53 mins.
Thorley on.

Youngs has moving plenty of ball to the backs. Farrell is doing absolutely nothing with it and often standing too flat and stationary. Actually one of Youngs better performances.

I don't think Umaga is in the squad it's Lawrence and Thorley on the bench?

I think Farrell has kicked as much, or more than he has passed.

Surprised at the amount of niggle from the Italians. They're not usually this riled.

Agreed on Young's actually, he's having his annual good game; but I do want to see To son get more than 3 minutes.
Farrell needs to go off though, prime suspect for the bad kicking, and the captain who's job is to change things up as mecessary. I'd managed to forget we don't have a replacement for him though :( let's go for Slade to 10, with Lawrence at IC then - ASAP
