I would assume that the Edinburgh v Glasgow games will keep their Christmas/New Year Slot as other unions will also want that and it makes sense. May be that we also play the Italians around then as well.

Here's hoping they sort it soon, would be nice to have something to look forward to.

Fixtures oot!

A fair few free to air fixtures as well, although not sure if we'll see Scottish teams in those. I'm now a Super 6 convert, so not that fussed!

looks like majority of games NOT hosted by the scots teams will be free to air. All our games still on Premier Sports. Biggest issue seems to be lack of a FTA broadcaster willing to put up (BBC Wales and BBC NI have, but not BBC Scotland) which has dealt us a crap hand - not so much in the FTA but on getting preferred ko times. Glasgow asked for fri nights. Got one. So nearly other home game will be sat afternoon clashing with club rugby and football, for those who follow either as well

no.
S6 are franchises, iirc about 12 bids, 6 successful. Aim is to concentrate talent in one elite semi pro division and produce higher quality teams with players more able to step up to full pro if needed and a better pathway for players and coaches. Might expand to 8 of it works well enough, are enough players an enough money. Current franchises are not infinite - will be assessed (3 seasons?) and will need to show they still merit a place, or a new bid will be invited
