I seem to remember O’Flaherty was untouchable in that game, but I’d have said that was a bit of an isolated example where a player’s individual performance wasn’t really representative of their overall style.
Typically Exeter’s plan A has been catch-and-drive or pick-and-go. Plan B has always been give it to someone with good footwork - these days Cordero Mk2, O’Flaherty or Hogg and hope that they can create something from nothing.
