Very good club man, one of the more underrated 15s in the league I'd say. He's quick, can step and played 10 at age grade and a little bit at senior level so he's got the passing and kicking game. Bath did well to pick him up, I was hoping Tigers would.

Mostly Tigers in that first half. Hopefully we've just been fatiguing Bath and who will struggle in the second half and Tigers won't regret not scoring those tries when the opportunity arose. There's three we should have had.

I don't think you need to fatigue us, you're just better than us at the moment. Tighten up the execution and you'll blow us away.

Oh, and our bench a rather... unimpressive as a whole

Shillcock has always been a very good player. Unlucky with injury at times and being in a side that has struggled more than not. Got a good skill set.

Watson looking very sharp. Martin also very good. For me he should be playing 6 in white tomorrow.

Lawrence again a real handful.

No idea why they're talking up Baths bench as insanely strong.
2 shit props, 3 backrowers and a SH who's lucky to have a premiership contract.
Yes, there's Dunn, Bayliss and Redpath. But a bench is 8 people, not 3

Martin has been excellent but he's also been injured so couldn't really have picked him for the EPS. Come the 6N if he's still playing like this he should be a certainty, ditto Lawrence but then again there is the Eddie factor.

Hmmm, overruling the TMO without knowing which tackle is being talked about.
Granted thabscdum was near enough formed so Ref was busy, but that absolutely deserved a look.

Yeah I thought the Cracknell one really did deserve a review. Didn't think there was a lot in it but certainly needed a close look.

How many scrums will Foley allow Bath's props to stand up or run round? Ridiculous.

Redpath on for Shilcock, so JJ to eing, Gallagher to FB

I'd need to see it again to pass judgement, it's the overruling unsighted that I query.

As for the scrum - hopefully lots, barring the odd scrum here and there, you're way stronger than us up front

Yeah I would be open to changing my mind on a second viewing.

We have been stronger up front but the bench isn't the best and we're not be rewarded at scrum time.

That's so moronic from Burns. You've read the play just hit the guy. Very lucky not to be a yellow, if Bath had run a better move he'd have been in trouble but it's a simple 3 unnecessarily given.

FFS Tigers. Awful second half. Bath played better in the second and Tigers were spectacularly wasteful on the first half. Can't go away from home and blow that many chances.

Did the conversion even get taken?

It’s *possible* that Bath have signed the 2 best early 20-something players in English rugby with Ted Hill & Ollie Lawrence. They’ve transformed them.

Maybe the top 3 when Barbeary shows up.

The Wuss boys have made quite the difference at Bath - nice to see

Some really good young English talent in show tonight.

Lawrence, Hill, Martin, Bailey, Atkinson (a late sub but he’s all class), Shillcock etc

I’d happily be playing two of them tomorrow vs what we have, let alone Watson! He looked super sharp

I thought Martin played better than Ted Hill personally but they both had really good games. Lawrence was fantastic, if he plays like that consistently Eddie really can't continue to ignore him.

Bath are doing the right thing, they're in a rebuild phase and need to clear out the squad a bit anyway. Signing some of the best young talent from two financially stricken sides whilst you've got any spare cap or injury dispensation just makes a lot of sense. Galvanise that young side now and it could do them well for years.

Martin was fantastic too in fairness. Playing Itoje out of position at 6 for England when you’ve got Hill and Martin available is pretty baffling.

Totally with you - those guys, with some time now, could easily make the WC squad, possibly even the side

Or indeed Coles as he plays blindside a fair bit for Saints. Though I'd like to see him concentrate on lock as a lock with his mobility and carrying game would be more beneficial long term.

Locks: Tizard, Chessum, Coles, Itoje
Blindsides: Martin, Hill

Physical, mobile and play the way Eddie wants. What's not to like.

Some of those hits Martin put out tonight really were monstrous. Hill looked pacey for his try as well.
