Reffing inconsistency is killing the game.
Quins robbed. Disgraceful.

Quins can feel a bit hard done by. They got the rough end of the decisions. But they did take an awful long time to get going and lost a few key balls at the end which proved decisive.

Quins should have closed that out regardless of Brace. But it felt like the French TV director's edits were determining reffing decisions - or indeed reversing them.

Brace is disgrace and his pathetic assistants no better.

Exactly. Brace and co were very poor, but despite that Quins having done brilliantly to get back in the game did not manage the 12 man period well.

Yeah Brace isn't a good referee and Quins were on the end of some dodgy calls but Brace did dish out three yellow cards. Quins only have themselves to blame for messing up lineouts and not using the time when Racing were down to 12 to put the game to bed.
They also can't blame Brace for Morris taking out a man in air stupidly to get a yellow card. Quins have got to stomach their own list of errors and not just blame it on the poor performance of Brace and Neville (both of whom are known to be not the best).
Good news for England was that Marchant played out of his skin and Smith didn't look like he was coming back from injury. Dombrandt was a bit disappointing though.

I guess we’ll have a terrible new ‘x likes this post’ gif to look forward to.
I don't feel like Marchant actually loved that post though.
Fantastic game to watch, although frustrating watching Quins somehow snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. The refereeing decisions were baffling, but Brace wasn't the one that screwed up that restart catch, nor was he the one that tried a hope-over-expectation pass in that last attack when there was a Racing player blatantly in the way and simply holding on would likely have made a try next phase.
Very glad to see Smith playing so well, not least because it might calm the furious wanking from the pundits over Farrell's glorious and automatic ascent to the 10 jersey.
