I'd say Blamire's proven himself with his previous caps, including the start against the Springboks. I don't know why Walker was picked in the first place; he didn't look likely based on his Prem performances and I'm not sad he stayed on the bench.

Regardless of whether you rate him I don’t see how you can be happy with a whole 6 nations gone and no depth added or even assessed. LCD is always an injury concern and Blamire clearly wasn’t fancied by Borthwick for whatever reason. We had 5 games to at least see if he’s up to it and learned absolutely nothing from his involvement.
I found Borthwick’s use of the bench pretty disappointing throughout. There were many of the Eddie trademarks that rightly had people questioning his man-management skills.
I love what Blamire offers in the loose but not seen enough of him since becoming a starter for Falcons to know how reliable he is on the core jobs.

Agree with that. There's no good reason to leave a player on for 80 minutes unless they are playing at the top of their game. George wasnt. There were a few late subs which i find particularly irritating.

He has stepped up, but I still don't see him as international quality. Apparently neither does Stone Bronson, although I would've liked to have seen the theory challenged just a little bit by actually trying him.
