Watching that highlights clip, I have three points to ponder:

1. How good was Exeter's collective timing? For a new side, it looked exceptional.
2. That was what 'well-drilled' should look like - as against slow 'playing-by-numbers'.
3. Genuine question based on this and other occasional views (only two whole games, I think from memory) - is Warr the real deal? As a fan of Quirke, every time I see Warr I look for what gets him ahead in the pecking order and I just haven't seen it yet.

That Armstrong try really is a beauty of a team try. As Oakboy says the timing is exceptional and the support players flood through really well.

Gus Warr brings most of the skills that Quirke has just not the pace which is why I think Quirke has the much better highlight reel. Warr's a horribly tenacious defender, the sort of quintessential yappy 9 and I think that does suit the Sale defence a bit. Warr does also have the benefit of being injury free and being able to maintain form over a period of time. Feels like every time Quirke works his way back into form he gets injured again and he's not one of those that goes from injury free to bang in form straight away. I'm hoping Quirke has some more luck this season though he wasn't in the squad for this game, any news on that?

Nope. Quirke is injured again. Fractured jaw IIRC? Not good but better than it being another muscular issue I guess?

Quirke and Youngs had a passing contest to their mirror selves.
One of them has barely played since, the other's mirror remained intact.
