Oh, I'm not taking it away from him, he spotted a slight gap, and ran hard at it. But the xomm.s were talking about how hard he'd carried, as if that was why both defenders fell off him, and he'd simply burst through the tackles.

They hit heads and fell over (I don't see any evidence that they actually lost consciousness).
They didn't have time to communicate and coordinate one high, one low - but he got through because they took each other out

Probably why Shiny Baldpatch doesn't feel he's international quality. Shame it's going to see him head abroad again though as he's good entertainment for the neutrals.

Has anyone tried? Bath didn't, and I'm far from convinced that Montpellier ever did. Maybe Gloucester have, but this year, they're probably encouraging errors of over-optimism

It is, and this is purely a feeling, they feel like brainfarts from trying too much (which gets more harshly exposed at international level) rather than brainfarts for a skill that isn't there or a simple stupid thing to try ever at any stage (thinking of a Ben Young's or Billy Twelevtrees type brainfarts)

It is, and this is purely a feeling, they feel like brainfarts from trying too much (which gets more harshly exposed at international level) rather than brainfarts for a skill that isn't there or a simple stupid thing to try ever at any stage (thinking of a Ben Young's or Billy Twelevtrees type brainfarts)

agreed, seems he wants to always make the killer play, rather than doing his basics sometimes

edit from you- he has been under several coaches thru age group then club and also England, have to assume theyd want to eliminate the regular errors, but obviously guesswork from both of us

Staggeringly Blind could do a lot worse than look at the young man wearing 12 for Glous! I know I’m a broken record, but so much of Gloucester’s good things go through him! Outplayed Redpath by a bit of a distance today! And I do feel Lawrence would really thrive outside of him like he does Redpath at club level!

Afo looked good again! Love how they get him just leaning bodyweight on uncontested Bath rucks just to sap energy!

And Barbeary looks like he’s gone backwards! Absolutely nowhere near international standard!

He’s like the mercurial fly half, only playing at 8! So much good, and then just moments when head meets hands! Part of it I think is that people are not on his wavelength along with him trying to force things over taking the safer option.
