Agreed - Exeter look like they're determined to get a first win by hook or by crook. Not really in the spirit of the competition, that team selection.

See why Exe would pick a strong side, keeping the HBs together and giving Rigg another run does make sense, but thats a tough draw for Pirates.

Pirates were already dubious about value of Prem cup, but at least they should get a very decent crowd and ticket sales.

Crazy to think Griffin might start for Wales when he’s seemingly 4th choice at Bath behind du Toit, Stuart and Sela.

Anyway, not our problem.

In other news, Quins team vs. Scottish:

1. Wyn Jones (2)
2. Sam Riley (54)
3. Will Hobson (11)
4. George Hammond (66)
5. Jonny Green (4)
6. Archie White (69)
7. Tom Lawday (C) (82)
8. Lucas Schmid (*)
9. Lucas Friday (*)
10. Jamie Benson (8)
11. Hayden Hyde (10)
12. Bryn Bradley (10)
13. Will Joseph (14)
14. Roma Zheng (2)
15. Cameron Anderson (8)

16. Jimmy Staples (*)
17. Tom Osborne (7)
18. Simon Kerrod (106)
19. Harry Browne (2)
20. Zach Carr (5)
21. Lewis Gjaltema (33)
22. Connor Slevin (8)
23. Sean Kerr (1)

Good to see Friday and Schmid getting their first starts. Staples from the bench is highly rated too.

I’m also interested to see if a few good cup starts pushes Hobson in to the first team mix.

Griffin's actually only just come back from pericarditis which was discovered after the first game of the season, so he's probably not behind Sela (yet). Not entirely sure how Bath square that circle though - didn't Stuart sign a new contract at the end of last season instead of going to Glaws as rumoured? I can only really see it ending up as Griffin leaving for a Welsh region, which seems a bit harsh on Bath for having developed him, or losing du Toit who's their definite first choice. Neither one seems great.

Double let off early doors. Tigers pulled part by Saints but called back from a high shot. Let off for Saints because the ref doesn't seem to follow the normal process for a high tackle and it's only a penalty. Most weeks that's a card and the only decision is which colour.
