I have to admit I fast-forwarded through sections of that match, it was too painful to watch. Obviously we lost it in the first half but we did quite a job to bring it back to 6 points by the end. Did Jarrod Evans make a big difference? (I can't bear to look through the match to compare his performance with Anscombe's). I did think Thomas was lucky not the get carded. Not sure what he thought he was doing with his hand but it did not look good.

Yeah people will jump for a high ball to avoid being tackled, without being penalised.

Unfortunately I missed the second half, fed up with the first half dirge. A couple of things which would have been nice to have some more of a look at but didn't seem to get mentioned at all on the telebox. Possible forward pass for Scotlands first. Possible knock on just before Johns yellow and I thought Murrays foot was in touch for the shambolic try.

There was an absolute knock on before Johns yellow and I thought Murray was in touch, albeit a close call. Morgan was appealing the knock on but got no change. But thankfully the TMO was able to spot a Welsh knock on late in the second half

The noticing of forward passes was pretty intermittent.

Interesting, I’ve seen it a fair few times in games and never penalised, but I assume that’s refs not being certain enough or even aware of the laws.

Wow, that was total news to me. Why is that against the law? It was fantastic, skilful rugby (in my unbiased opinion )

Dangerous play - if you're allowed to jump over a tackle then it's a) moving boots and studs to the height of the tacklers' heads and b) put the jumper in danger of being flipped over if the tackler takes their feet. In addition, it's not something that can be allowed for the flow of the game as it makes the ball-player untackleable (as you can't tackle someone in the air so hurdling gives you immunity/free penalty) and it would encourage Yank football-style flips.

On another day that could have been a red. I don’t think it was but it wasn’t a good look.

Evans had a much better game than Anscombe. Tomos Williams again too took long to clear the ball on occasions which didn’t help, but Anscombe was stood very deep. The scrumV podcast were fairly convinced it wasn’t one of his better games and perhaps his time is up. Noting that they were demanding his recall not too long ago.

Our first half performance by the pack was below par which didn’t help.
