Enjoyed Princess Ronaldo's criticism of Iceland.

What on earth was he expecting them to do?

It's western media disinformation. Obviously.

In any case, your (and to be honest, also mine) prejudices are about to be proven founded, as it seems that there are bus loads of English yobs on their way to France to take on the Russians at their own game.

It's not prejudice if it's factual. & you agree yourself that it's factual.
If they're good enough to play at World Cups, why not in between?

No, there is a difference between perceptions and facts. I perceive all football fans and English ones in particular to be boorish twats. The facts on the ground are that Russian fans launched an unprovoked attack on English fans inside the stadium in Marseille. This is the act for which the Russian team was punished by UEFA, not the twattish behaviour of all the fans outside on the streets.

Give your head a wobble and see if you can unmuddle perceptions from facts.

Why oh why did the Slovakian coach send on another striker when they were 2-0 up?!?

Within a minute or two, Russia pulled a goal back and it has been one way traffic since!

Russia looking likely to get an equalizer too.

Out of the two teams playing then, a Slovakia win was better for England because they're our final game. If England beat Slovakia they'll finish ahead of them in the group.
I don't think a poor Russia will beat Wales, if that is how it pans out that would leave England with two chances to qualify.
We could actually lose to Wales and still qualify by beating Slovakia(assuming Russia don't beat Wales).

Hopefully we can win the two final games just to make sure though.

The russians had been planning that attack for months. They aren't "hooligans" in the british sense they are off duty police/army. Very suspect how they managed to get into the country in the first place.
This has been rattling around in my mind for awhile now. It's an incredibly believable assertion. I'd be fascinated to know more.
It would certainly explain the quick-marching and how they have the money and documents to travel freely.
You can imagine Vlad' paying for the whole thing as it's some cheap publicity for 'Project; don't f*ck with me'..

I was almost willing the Russians to kick off in the stadium....then I thought of the embarrassment if England still failed to get out of the group!

It Wales beat England, disqualification might not be an issue for either Russia or England.

I didn't dispute what the Russians did, but I thought it would have been more appropriate to punish both sides, that's all.

Pogba for the ineffectual Martial...
Meanwhile, it's kicking off already in Lille.
Looks like this could be the only 'round 2' Eng. & Rus. will see if it carries on.

For the scenes on the streets, both FAs were warned.

For the scenes in the stadium, the Russians were punished.

Ever has it worked so. Or at least since football became solely about money...

This is embarrassing.

The Hungarian commentator is basically just saying: That was a bad ball. Bad pass from Rooney. Bad control from Kane. It's so static. Sterling is really playing badly.

And when a Hungarian says you're playing badly at football, you're playing badly.

Football is a simple thing, it's about two things: space and time. Find the spaces, change the pace of the match. We are slow, we don't move into spaces, we don't close down, we can't control the ball. It's terrible. I'm sorry, but Roy is probably the worst coach at this tournament. We have ok players now, but they suddenly cannot play when they're put together. And it's not like the French where they're all playing for themselves, they're trying to play as a team, but they suddenly are unable to trap a bloody ball.

Brilliant :) I do want to cheer for Wales here, because Roy needs to be gone for good, and we need to understand that the kind of football our team plays is appallingly bad, and we don't even deserve to be in the tournament.

I hope we lose to Slovakia, too.
