I’m fecking stunned.

We don’t have many international class players so when we deliberately don’t pick one it’s really odd.
That particular choice has to be a Sherratt/Cardiff thing.
It’s really hard to justify. Dee is with the squad on your. Yes he’s had some injuries but we know he’s a reliable international class hooker who if not world class, won’t let you down. I don’t get why he wasn’t on the bench.

I can understand Mann to a large extent who has had a decent season. But then Plumtree was available so why not pick him, since he has also had a very good season and can play at blindside?

I’m wary about entertaining bias too much but it’s a hard one to over look here.

To be fair to Sherratt I expected him to take Hamer-Webb on the tour, but he took Giles instead.

(Although under current circumstances it's entirely possible that Hamer-Webb didn't want to commit to the floundering ship that is Wales).

I agree about Mann though, there's no way he's our first choice 6.

I think there have been some selection issues but tbh I don't think it's made that much of a difference, look at the players we have now, who would make a Wales team of 10 years ago based on form? Only Faletau I would contend and that's because he was in that team, unfortunately we are reaping what the WRU has sown.

This is very true and we must not lose sight of that mismanagement by the WRU (and neither are the regions entirely without blame here).

But there are selections which would strengthen that team so it’s fair to point them out.
