Yeah halfback control has dropped off pretty quickly.

bit harsh. Its his hands and attacking the gainline with out the back passes that enabled the first try...defence was looking for the out the back.
There have been loads of half breaks.
Its Fin, one n btw.
Assume you are a marcus man?

My critique would be he and Mitchell not using the frwards properly.

Keenan?
Fin with two on two stepped in, then Keenan didn’t do so well… but it was Fin what enabled it

2 good tries from HJ and poor defence from Keenan to the Tahs in, lots for AF to think about
It was so much easier to blame Them. It was bleakly depressing to think They were Us. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

Scrum and lineout much better. Need to earn the right to go wider imo; that said, lots of half chances but fumbling on the gainline. Mitchell and Smith as before need to direct the pack to carry more- the game plan needs a bit of modification

Less about Keenan than Smith imo. One on one you’d back a wing, tho he should have clung on.

Sam is right 😂 as is Barclay.
Need to truck up and do better at the gainline. Have we got the players?

That's fair, but we're so used to seeing him make those tackles usually, he's - understandably - not at his usual high standard

Edit, on watching again youre right that Smith should've taken the Tahs winger, but to go thru Keenan like he did is poor from HK, he was in exactly the right position to make the tackle but didnt

Have to bear in mind that this is still another team with new combos, tho no excuse for half backs.

That's a big standard full back tackle. Has to be made. We criticised Hogg for missing those.

Pity with these shorter tours, the teams don't really get many chances to gel. All a bit patchy, again but would expect power and
input from bench to stretch the margins again by FT.
Mitchell/Smith showing relative inexperience for this environment but both up for it.

Think both props, Cummings, Earl (had a bad 5min giving away pens and was a little headless chicken at times), centres and Hansen have been decent.

Kinghorn and VdF been OK.

Mitchell and Smith not quite clicking. Be interesting to see if Mitchell is penned into the test 23 or whether White has a realistic chance there.

Keenan has been poor. I cant see how Bierne makes the test 23 the way he's been playing.

Jesus, where’s the patience here. Keep the ball, stop trying to force every play- like the Argentina game.
