Any time later. Especially after they've talked to the police and the police and press have established the narrative that suits them.
So you are now suggesting that
the eyewitness is being coerced by the police into making a false statement.
If that is your perception then its pointless arguing.
What? What do you mean 'the eyewitness'?
You have an incredibly closed mind, dude. Try some yoga or something. Smoke a little ganja. Take a laxative.
The eyewitness being interviewed by the investigator. We usually interview one at a time, group discussions are highly inaccurate as a rule.

Meanwhile 61 people were killed in a terrorist attack in Afghanistan (not so newsworthy, it seems):
Suicide bombers hit a large demonstration by members of Afghanistan's Hazara minority in Kabul on Saturday, killing at least 61 people and wounding 207, officials said. http://www.ndtv.com/world-news/10-dead- ... ls-1435170
& another 20 or so today in Iraq

If you're trying to tell me that police never (or even not usually) try to coerce witnesses then you're having a laugh.
Do you think I was born yesterday?

It took 3,200 security personnel 2 1/2 hours to find the suspect’s body?

Not bad, perhaps they could divert their attention to Jimmy Hoffa, Lord Lucan and Maddie McCann?

Didn't they finally catch up with Lord Lucan in Goa or something?
How about the Australian PM, Harold Holt, disappearing in the late sixties. Probably drowned, but they're still not 100% sure.

Harold Holt ran a Chinese restaurant in Broken Hill with Elvis. Lord Lucan washed the dishes.

Elvis saw out his days on the secret Caribbean island to which Buddy, Ritchie & Jiles had been dispatched in '59 to create the music the 'King' spent his career lip-syncing to. The 3 'J's were already happily settled there, while Lennon, Cobain and MJ are others to have moved there since.
