Pics of Gatland doing promo shots wearing Lions gear in Edinburgh are doing the rounds on twitter. Not that anyone will be surprised.

Re: Coach
NZ Herald are reporting Gatland as fact. The Lions twitter account is still carrying on like it's a big secret.

So I've decided to help them out:

It' good that the unveiling of Gatland as coach is going to happen in Edinburgh, that way we Scots can't complain that we weren't involved in the Lions tour.

Re: Coach
He's confirmed and announced he's off to NZ tomorrow to start the preparations. The other coaches aren't announced until December. Any ideas why? Surely they know who they want by now.

Re: Coach
Unions won't want that distraction during the AIs. They won't want them during the 6N either, but I'd guess December is the compromise.
No idea why Warren needs to bugger off out of the country so soon though - what's he going to do out there? book the hotels himself? or have a little holiday until the squad arrives?

Oi, do you mind?! In a season where we need to sort out some serious issues, we've got Howley as temporary head coach.Eugene Wrayburn wrote:Feck.

We won the championship, the highlight of which was the utter destruction of England following some pretty turgid stuff.cashead wrote:Worked out OK for you guys last time, didn't it?Sandydragon wrote:Oi, do you mind?! I don't think we move forward in that time and it was blatantly a holding action until Gatland returned. Last time we had won the grand slam, so arguably we were I a good place. Now we look far less solid and our head coach, instead of addressing the issues (assuming he could) is instead off on a season long sabbatical.

I think the Lions need to take some new asst coaches to prepare for the next one
I think for me
Townsend, Baxter would be a good start and if you could get hold of Ford or Kiss also

Re: Coach
I just feel this is Gatland thinking he is rather clever by getting certain coaches in so he can get the inside track for the 2018 6N and the next world cup
