Well Parker is fighting Ruiz so if the AJ v Klit foight goes ahead then they won't be fighting for the WBO belt:

I haven't seen Ruiz fight but he looks porky.

I thought that was fairly well known/expected? Its the WBA belt that is the sticking point IIRC.

I was under the impression Klit wanted to fight for three belts and that he was waiting to see what the sanctioning bodies were going to come back with re: mandatory challengers etc..

Did anyone see Josh Taylor fight on Friday night, he looks very promising, he's still a bit raw but he's knocking out everyone put in front of him, 7 from 7 so far.

McGuigan is saying that this boy has the potential to be the best Scottish boxer since Ken Buchanan, high praise indeed.

Well that's the end of the Joshua v Klitshko bout for this year due to an injury and dithering by the WBA:

I wonder how much Klitschko actually wants this fight.

Not much if he's got any sense, he's holding out for Fury I reckon.

Did you see the last sentence of the article I posted, it's comedy gold.

Dear God. Would Price manage to get to round 2?

First clean punch AJ lands and Price would be down.

Nope ;

Last hopeful payday for Price seeing as everyone knows he's got a weetabix chin.

Cant see the public buying it but because its fking heavyweights . . . . . .

If Price was in any other weight division , no one would have heard of him .

Vincent Price would spend longer on his feet than David.

In fairness McGuigan was trumping Frampton some years ago when he was an undercard fighter so that makes him a proven talent spotter . Watched Taylor on UTube , he does look classy and powerful . He obviously has to fight journeymen at this stage so some results are hard to read .

Much rather watch these sort of fighters than the fat boys .

Chunky v Jack in Vegas in January.

Ogogo may have had a broken face before the fight on Saturday. If that is the case someone may be in big trouble.

Interesting fight for DeGale, hopefully he won't be let down by his work rate as he does switch off during the middle rounds of fights.

Ogogo should stick to dancing, he hasn't got a future in boxing with that chin.

What's the lowdown on the broken face business?

Apparently he has a fractured eye socket. It was thought that this was done by a punch in the 1st round but Eddies Dad has reacted to news that he may have had this injury going into the fight. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/boxing/37773809

Seems like a convenient excuse to me, Ogogo has a high profile from his 'other' commitments and the Olympics, I think Eddie may be flogging a dead horse with this one.

Alas he is not Eddies horse to flog. He is part of the Sauerland stable IIRC.

So Joshua is to fight Eric Molina, it will be interesting to see how long it takes him to knock him out, Wilder only managed it after 9 rounds.

I see Chisora is on the undercard . Incredible how heavyweights still carry on and get fights irrespective of their past performances . Fking heavies !

The Chisora fight should be a decent enough domestic level fight, they should be quite evenly matched. Don't forget Chisora went the distance with Vlad in what was the best performance of his career.

The WBA have confirmed that Joshua and Vlad will fight for that belt as well in the spring so that should seal the deal on that one, barring Joshuas arms falling off.

It's nice of the Beeb to give more details on the infection.
