Hogg really doesn't piss about preparing for those kicks. Fair play.

Great win for the weeg. Congrats you pack of fuds.

Fair play to Glasgow - they always try to play attacking rugby and were well worth the win. Massive boot from Hogg at the end.

That Gaelic commentator is truly one-eyed (at least when he speaks English) and Mike Blair is just as bad. Hard to take the pair of them.

Really? I thought they were alright. Might be a relative thing. You should hear the English commentary lads... Or better yet Peter Wright on the radio. I suppose all that doesn't really mitigate anything though. Not being Andy Nicol doesn't magically make you unbiased.

They're normally pretty good. I was watching on BBC NI which is about as one-eyed as it's possible to be.

Class and speed to the breakdown told in the end. Coetzee is desperately needed.

Very odd game. Glasgow didn't seem to think tackling was called for in the first half, especially on Gilroy... I could barely watch Hogg take that last pen, he's also guaranteed to miss the next 4 now.

I`d rather listen to the Gaelic than Beattie on the red butt. All those head knocks have clearly had a cumulative effect..

Great result. I'm happy with Hogg taking those kicks to put the game beyond the reach of the opposition.. not so much when trying to chip away at a lead. It was a great kick anyway and I believe that is the third long range shot he has made in a row?

Lots of good performances, the fringe guys will find it hard to break into that squad.

Just caught up with this game now. Interesting stuff. Some good performances and some interesting parallels to the Ireland game. It's hard not to think Gray, Strauss, Pyrgos, Russell would have made an enormous difference last week.

Seymour's line for his try was beautiful.

Anyone watch that half-time segment with Grayson Hart? Weirdo.

How often do we get to see Bennet's famed massive kicks? I guess Hogg will take every chance at those he gets.

Normally Blair is quite balanced but there was one spell where they were seeming to pick up on every decision. It can be hard with Ulster though. I like the way they play but there are spells when their counter rucking means there are bodies lying all over the place and boots flying in from all angles. I'd hate to be a nine against them

Pyrgos was off the pace last night, didn't seem to be communicating effectively.

Haven't seen it yet, but it doesn't surprise me ;)

Probably not until Hogg has missed a few and Bennett has his form back. There wasn't even a debate last night, it was Hogg to have a crack.

Agree on Pyrgos. His service was pretty poor also. Great to see them dig in and get the win. Excellent result and here's to a fine finish

That may be the difference watching the game back on iPlayer not worrying about the result. You telling me Pyrgos's awful pass for Seymour's try wasn't part of the plan?

A final random thought on the game. Those scrums were perfect. I dont think one went down all day and no penalties (one fk). Both teams looked like they had to work really hard but basically wanted a nudge then get the ball out.

Enormous loss but a silver lining... Cummings will get more game time and we'll start to see glimpses of Davidson too. I haven't checked ages but i assume at least one will be too old for age group next season and will be available for the weeg during international periods.

Davidson might miss the cut off, Cummings should still be eligible. Either way if Glasgow need them Glasgow will get them.

Huge loss as has that x factor and will miss seeing him play. Really hopeful for Cummins though and between the two youngsters Gray Swinson and Peterson i think theyre ok. Gray was in good ball carrying form on Friday too

The game against Benetton Treviso will be shown live on BBC ALBA, but the Zebre match is not scheduled to be televised in the UK, however there will be live updates on the club's official Twitter account (@GlasgowWarriors).

That'll be tough being away for the full week. Surprised Clegg is omitted, he's a better player than Weir.

I think one of the two games is televised so will hopefully get a glimpse of Firth and DJustice.

I did find it odd that weeg only took two fly halves... Turns out that Clegg is injured. Horne will be covering from 12.

Full strength team pretty much with a couple of key names like Seymour rested.

5 points should be the target here.

15. Stuart Hogg
14. Taqele Naiyaravoro
13. Mark Bennett
12. Peter Horne
11. Sean Lamont
10. Finn Russell
9. Henry Pyrgos

1. Gordon Reid
2. Fraser Brown
3. Sila Puafisi
4. Tim Swinson
5. Jonny Gray
6. Josh Strauss
7. Simone Favaro
8. Adam Ashe

Replacements

16. James Malcolm
17. Jerry Yanuyanutawa
18. D'arcy Rae
19. Leone Nakarawa
20. Tyrone Holmes
21. Grayson Hart
22. Glenn Bryce
23. Lee Jones

Glasgow Warriors have named the squad that will travel to the Borders to take part in the 125th Gala 7s this Sunday.Junior Bulumakau is named in the Warriors squad for the Gala 7s

Two Scotland 7s internationals will take part in the shape of Junior Bulumakau and Nick Grigg.

Gregor Hunter is named in the squad after helping the Warriors to their second win-in-a-row at the Melrose 7s last year. Sam Johnson and Cammy Fenton are also involved.

Four players from Glasgow Hawks have been named in the squad with winger Robert Beattie, nephew of John Beattie included.

Sean Yacoubian also plays at Hawks along with scrum-half Paddy Boyer and Brendan McGroarty who both played for the Scotland Club XV in the recent wins over English Counties and the Ireland Club XV.

Evasive full-back Dylan Taikato-Simpson from Stirling County is also named in the group.

Glasgow have been drawn with Boroughmuir and Kelso in Pool 4, while Edinburgh Rugby are in a pool containing Watsonians and Melrose.

The Warriors side will be led by Glasgow Warriors assistant coach Kenny Murray, who said: “The Gala 7s is always a big event but with it being the 125th anniversary it’s extra special and we’re looking forward to be involved.

“We’ve been to Melrose for the last two seasons and competition is usually really hard so we’re expecting a tough run out.

“We’ve got a few club guys playing for us due to a large number of our squad being away in Italy for the next week.

“We believe we've got a really strong squad that will enable us to do well on Sunday.”

Glasgow Warriors squad to play in the 125th Gala 7s:

Gregor Hunter
Junior Bulumakau
Nick Grigg
Sam Johnson
Cammy Fenton
Robert Beattie
Sean Yacoubian
Paddy Bowyer
Brendan McGroarty
Dylan Taikato-Simpson

The full draw is as follows:

POOL 1: Gala, Edinburgh Accies, Peebles
POOL 2: Jed-Forest, Selkirk, Hawick
POOL 3: Edinburgh Rugby, Watsonions, Melrose
POOL 4: Glasgow Warriors, Boroughmuir, Kelso
