That would be the genius who had a big hand in swapping Tom Curry from 7 to 6Timbo wrote:I’d bet good money that if Eddie goes any time between now and the WC it’ll be John Mitchell taking over.
Are you allowed to say that in these 'enlightened' days?p/d wrote:Sorry Dors. I got to ‘Benny’, then had to call it a day.Oakboy wrote:I don't often agree with Greenwood's opinions but this has some merit (from DT today)

Oh, I'm f*cked if I know. It's like the Yorkshireman giving directions, "First thing, I wouldn't start from here."p/d wrote:Puja, when you say ‘turns it around’ what is it you expect/hope him to actually turn?
Play the same but with better execution? Take greater risks and sacrifice an ugly win for development?
I think we're quite similar to 2019 in ambition. But if one were to say at times it's like throwing a pair of die then we were throwing a few more 7-10s and now it's back at 2-5s, then too we lost some setpeices, and teams are more familiar with our patterns now. Actually on that last when Eddie came in he gave us quite a lot of width with the 2 1 1 1 1 spacings of the forwards in support but teams adapted to the use of single forwards and were able to put pressure back on our attack, and then with the kicking game Eddie found a way into the game for the side and now we've not developed that aspect we're back with more pressure on the attack. Not exactly ideal for a head coach to be caught out twice not developing the style of attack, especially one who is inclined anyway to focus on defencePuja wrote:Oh, I'm f*cked if I know. I'd like him to magically revert to mid/late 2019, when we had forwards offloading, backs passing, 3 phase strike moves, May and Watson actually getting passed the ball and used in an attacking sense and kicking being used to attack, rather than just because "that's what we do when we have the ball."
