Though I shudder at the thought, I suppose it would be interesting, should he stay in charge for a while, if results and performances improved!

Am hearing that he’s being sacked on Monday. All payoffs being sorted and due to part companies.
Usually a very reliable source. Maybe my hope playing in too! We’ll see in 24/36 hours
Never doubted you EP
Er, Monday?
More than likely happened Monday but made the announcement today as it was a bit late after the full meeting

Jones did a good job til 2019, and was ok until the last year or so imo. Bar Farrell being nailed on, but who else again.

I mean, hiring SCW was a bodge choice based on the fact that no-one more qualified than the Bath assistant coach was willing to apply for it, and the RFU had pissed Rowell off enough that he quit. Worked out quite well, but it wasn't a particularly popular appointment at the time.

We had this debate before
. It wasn't quite like that- SCW did a great pitch which surprised everyone, and they took a punt.

and btw, I think they could have had several good coaches in that period, but failed every time til Jones. I worry they will fail again.

We really are a glass half empty lot aren’t we. He has gone so let’s get behind the future, not worry what an ex Aussie player or a chap who goes by the name ‘squidge’ have to say.
Maybe we can do without a ‘tier 1’ coach and settle on sharing Big Brendan with that cricket rabble . Who knows.
I’m just relieved we get to roll the dice

Yeah I don’t get what that is either. Is that up, down or sideways?
I thought I was quoting someone about Cockerill’s new position, but apparently not.

Just sharing some views less biased either way than ours. Thought external views might be interesting....and if cockers is your answer, be careful what you wish for 'p/d'

I have never said Cockers is the answer nor would I agree Giteau less bias (though squidge holds a valid opinion) Just relieved Jones has gone.

We shall see what follows I guess. But its a worry that there is no one in place. Have to get a full structure in time for 6N; which means now.

Gross.
Shades of the “It hurts ma’am, it hurts so much” letter after the Queen died.
Also “more Faz’s try than his”? It was more Jonathon Davies’s try than anyone’s, if we’re playing that game.
