Which both explains the call ups for Knight and Callouri. Both have been ace for the U18s, but Hall, Kinder and Pearson would have been preferred over them

Back row not looking anywhere near as strong as prior years (have we finally stopped mass producing flankers?) and the options at fly half are sub par. I think this year we’re unlikely to dominate enough up front to make up for the lack of quality at 10.

Great to see mcparland in and the outside back options look deep.
Williams the flanker/number 8 at Tigers had gotten a few team of the week elections for Nottingham before his injury in December.

He, Timmins and Kelly were all at Notts.

And after some digging I think Davies has another year at this level, which means next season we get him and Linegar, which will make a refreshing change!

What's the view on Talbot? Considering he's played for the U17's, U18's and U19's this year

He looks a good one mate. There’s him and Shields in that age group who both look very handy. Talbot arguably the more advanced of the two at the moment.

I'm absolutely joining EP in despairing at the lack of FH quality in the squad.
Plenty of weapons, just no-one to wield them
Davies or Linegar in there (both played U19 this Spring), and I'd fell far more positive

With Gus Hall missing as well, it feels like the 10/12 channel is going to be a weakness.

If only for Davies or Linegar with Hall and then Lilley outside them.

How highly are you rating Talbot and Threlfall the Tigers lads? Threlfall seems to be doing well on loan at Notts whilst still a teenager and Talbot was in the U19s at 17 wasn't he?

Partly desperation on my part that we'll develop a 10 as we can't seem to sign one.

Threlfall always looked decent. Played a bit of England U18s. Probably didn’t get as much recognition as he deserved. Seems to have kicked on at Notts by all accounts.

I really like Talbot. Got a good all round game. May not be in Linegar’s class, but he’s not far off. Could be a big year for him next year as the senior 10, albeit battling with Shields for the starting spot.

Ta. The little bit I saw it Threlfall in the PRC he looked like he had a bit about him. Talbot looked pretty assured from what I saw of him at age grade.

Threlfall is only just turned 19 and Talbot's younger still so got some time but a breakout season pushing into the first team would be very timely at the moment.
