Well after the penalty I thought it might of broken Iceland ' s resolve and it would be one way traffic. To be fair they ve been half decent and not just long ball route one specialists. The build up to the second goal was very nice, although Hart should have kept it out.

I reckon Wrightie might be in tears if Iceland win this.

Dreadful selection. Sterling and Sturridge should never have started. Kane can consider himself lucky too. What a way to reward mediocrity in a must win match.

Strurridge from the bench makes far more sense. Vardy and Lallana should've started, if not the latter, definitely Barkley as our midfield isn't offering anything. Woy is going to rely on an unfit Wilshere who looks incapable of lasting 20 minutes. Rooney is so deep, he is practically defending the majority of the time. The press have been wanking over his pass completion but he's spending far too much time in ineffective positions.

The age old questions of defence come up the moment a team decides to have a go. Wales and Slovakia would've had great chances to beat us if they had a go too. I get the feeling that Hart's mistakes are going to be very costly.

Decent free kick position to get the ball in the box. Poor delivery.

Too slow. By the time Rooney spots Sturridge in space, he's closed down.

Vardy on for Sturridge within 10 mins.

England need an enforcer in the midfield. These fellas are all a bit lightweight and easily bullied.

How can they fashion goal scoring chances from so little ball and our goal comes from a needless penalty???

Player for player, they seem stronger.

Another over-hit cross.

I was wrong, Vardy is replacing Sterling. Pointless change as one should've started, the other shouldn't even be in kit.

Far too slow to turn won possession in the middle of the pitch into attack.

This is poor from England. No cutting edge at all.

Sturridge is basically on the wing. It's the stuff of dreams.

How long has Woy had these players for? They are still the most static, slow bunch of footballers I've seen.

Its not like this is a one off.

Long shots seem to be the tactic. Would be nice if they were on target though.
