Re: Trump
If you have any gun loving black American friends, the 13th amendment is always worth dropping into the conversation.

Re: Trump
He's finally reached Puerto Rico... It's not going well for him though.

President Trump on Tuesday told Puerto Rico officials they should feel “very proud” they haven’t lost thousands of lives like in “a real catastrophe like Katrina,”
he praised himself earlier in the day for his administration’s “great job” and “A-plus” response to Hurricane Maria.
I hate to tell you, Puerto Rico, but you’ve thrown our budget a little out of whack.

Iraq, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE were among the 13 countries that joined the United States in rejecting the resolution, which was introduced by Belgium, Benin, Costa Rica, France, Mexico, Moldova, Mongolia, and Switzerland. A total of 27 countries supported it.
The resolution notably doesn’t call for the end to the death penalty. It simply condemns its usage in a discriminatory fashion. Besides the implications for people with same-sex orientations, ILGA also notes that when used to punish adultery, the death penalty is disproportionately imposed on women.

No good for hunting and there are better options for the range, if that’s your thing. Basically, they are good for showing off.Digby wrote:I'd go with an immediate ban on all assault rifle owners. There are jobs, and jobs other than police and armed forces, which might merit the use of a gun, but who needs an assault rifle for everyday use other than police and military?morepork wrote:Trump offers his "warmest condolences" to the families of 64 people gunned down by a gun nut in Vegas. I think English is his second language. Where are the "loser" tags man? I look forward to him hooking into the Vegas Mayor for dropping the ball. For me, an immediate travel ban on all white assault rifle owners is the only way forward.
Here is no reason to have them outside of the police and military. None. This time the killer is a white man, with a successful (financially) life. Must be a real problem for trump, perhaps even meriting a different approach to his twitter feed then his normal ‘thoughts’.

You really need to see him saying this stuff to get the full weight of it. I didn't realise I had the capacity left to be this shocked by Trump.Which Tyler wrote:He's finally reached Puerto Rico... It's not going well for him though.

If you can stomach it, here is the baboon's contribution to the crisis in Puerto Rico on the ground. An inappropriate and rambling narrative devoid of content relevant to the practicalities of the situation at hand. Pity the locals that have to host this fucktard and his circus act at this time.

He just can't help himself from a good old fashioned circle jerk in the hope that it will show him in a good light.
He just doesn't have a clue on what to do or say and when or where to say and do those things.
It is disturbing that he always looks to get high 5s and pats on the back in front of the cameras, rather than saying and doing what he so obviously should be saying or doing.
His power meetings from his Trump Corp days must've been a sight to behold.

It just blows me away the really poor level of education and the consequent lack of social awareness in the 'developed world'. Although if the majority of Trump voters were going through school a long time ago perhaps it has improved.
It makes me wonder about the extent of indoctrination and societal control the US operates over its citizens. At times they do seem to be a bunch of brainwashed automatons. It's really just like a cult.

It's more diverse than that.kk67 wrote:It's working for him.WaspInWales wrote:He just can't help himself from a good old fashioned circle jerk in the hope that it will show him in a good light.

Re: Trump
The man is a genius.
He has challenged his own secretary of state to an IQ test to prove that he is more intelligent. He did the same with Sadiq Khan a while ago.
The man can barely spell or appear to understand basic logic so I'd be surprised if he scored above average in a controlled test.
He has no doubt taken an IQ test before and either cheated or paid for a favourable result.
What's more worrying is his belief that he is better than anyone else. He just can't accept that there may be smarter and more handsome people than himself.

He must be saying this stuff intentionally as a diversion tactic. Could he actually be this stupid? Could anybody?

Re: Trump
Whilst I'm I pressed by his biggly humbleness (he doesn't know what "humble" means does he?)
But I can't agree with Heraa Hashmi - I'm confident that he can trump that, he'll, he probably already has and we've just forgotten about it as he doesn't have enough self-awareness to be embarrassed
