And to make a mistake in doing so it would seem. Still the bigger thing was NZ not executing on chances (and actually the Lions fluffed a chance to two too)
indeed NZ's execution in the last two tists was poor

On the other hand, Beauden's kicking...
A miss might have left him mentally scarred and unable to lace up his boots ever again. The ref was only acting out of concern for him.

Fuck. Might as well look for inappropriate use of colouful language while we're at it. BB lost it with the kicking. Too many dropsies from the ABs. They did the right thing pinning the Lions back but when it became clear that the ref wasn't sympathetic to the milking of the penalty tittieh, there should have been quick hooking and more aggressive attack with the ball in hand. Lions did a great job of getting in our faces, but thankfully Farell was a total wooden soldier at 12. Read looking a bit Donald Trump at captain at times.

Who you calling simple bro? It's 6:00am, I'm 3 beers in, and should now probably look to continue the day at a park with some meth heads yelling at pigeons.

Can't see that being anything other than a pen against Owens. Not that anybody would've done anything different than reacting as he did. But thems the laws.
Everyone on top of their game except Iceman. What a match, what a series. Good to see the NZ fans moaning about the referees performance. You know they know they've been in a scrap when that happens.

If so can he then rule on an issue that wasn't the subject of the review? Anyway, Scots get it in the plums again. Joubert awarded 78th minute penalty in world cup when it was touched by Aus player & should have been scrum. World rugby says can't use tmo in such circumstances.
This clearly knocked on and played by offside player only yet changed to a scrum :-/

I look forward to our retrospective semi final. ;-)

A game you couldn't take your eyes off. Despite early AB dominance, the Lions could have won that with an it more composure in the second half.

Some huge performances out there and some average ones on both sides. But if nothing else this series has demonstrated the importance of a good goal kicker.

yet what did we sacrifice today on that altar; Sexton is a good kicker to be fair.

The laws on the matter whilst trying to be clear are actually not and don't help the ref at all. Under law 11.6 it would be a penalty "offside after a knock on". But then under law 11.5 perhaps not as it states accidental offside is "when an offside player cannot avoid being touched by the ball....".

My view on that type of situation has been consistent since the last WC. The players can't make themselves invisible or stop their reactions when they are that close to the play and law 11.6 is for deliberate acts. But as a Scottish Lions fan I would be inclined to think that.
