Re: Trump
There might be nothing to worry about in all this. There'd still be plenty of other reasons to dislike the current government, and depending on the specifics this might still be one, but until someone actually sets out what it means it seems premature for some of the criticism that's come aboutkk67 wrote:I don't.

Yeah, Jackson. All around FUBAR inappropriate. He is melting down. I assume that he is excluded from the grown up business of robbing working people of their pensions and civil rights (on account of him being as thick as pig shit) and has a lot of time on his hands.Which Tyler wrote:Did you notice the painting he stood in front of whilst making those racial slurs?morepork wrote:This week it's racial slurs in front of Native Americans and spreading far right hate propaganda on social media.

The tranny that Trump retweeted has experienced somewhat of a surge in followers. The Beeb reported her to have 52k followers on Twitter earlier. That has now shot up to over 71k in a few hours.

Of course he does. Last weekend, the Whitehouse made a statement that Trump was having a full day of meetings and telephone calls. That was in response to a claim that Trump was going to enjoy a low tempo weekend.morepork wrote:It really is fucking tedious. Re: Trump
I just have this feeling that Trump is doing a bit of a Python.
He's found a way to unite so many disparate groups... Brexiteers and Remoaners... Corbynistas and Rhys's Moggies... Archbishop of Canterbury, Muslim Council of GB and Richard Dawkins... Piers Morgan and Humanity...

Sorry, but I think that's a terrible idea. The less he does, the less damage he can do. I'd be perfectly happy to read about him golfing 7 days/week.morepork wrote:It really is fucking tedious. Right. It does seem that Tango Foxtrot Ballbag is excluded from the grown up table. He has blindly installed some nasty ex-Goldman Sachs types in positions of profound influence and they get to fly under the radar due to the noise made by the Orangutan with a mobile device. The fucking media is dominated by his outrageous stupidity but the real damage is being done by grown ups with deep roots in financial deregulation. The bodies that are there to oversee financial practice are being dismantled via appointment of astoundingly inappropriate individuals (http://www.rollingstone.com/politics/fe ... rm-w512812). We know Trump is a stupid cunt but now is the time to divert pub,ic oxygen to the issue of deregulation that is being applied to every sphere of public interest from banking to science.

I suspect that is exactly what he is encouraged to do. Even letting him keep his twitter account is better than actually doing anything serious.Stones of granite wrote:Sorry, but I think that's a terrible idea. Bad news for Trump. Flynn looks likely to have cut a deal and pleaded guilty to a minor charge.
The recent tweets were just a diversion.
Whats going on with the Mueller investigation is really where its at.

Re: Trump
Yup - blatantly cut a deal - which is really interesting.
Wasn't he like THE most imporant position in the White House (after the Trump family and Pence)? so for him to accept a deal, he's got dirt on at least one of Trump, Trump Jr, Kushner or Pence. And Trump Jr doesn't really count, as he keeps trying to hang himself anyway by providing transcripts that prove his guilt as he professes his innocence.
What happens if Trump and Pence BOTH go? surely that would trigger a new election?
ETA: Has May played a blinder by dropping the current spat between them (not deliberately, she always has to take 4 days to think about things before doing anything)? if she'd responded, then he'd have the perfect distraction going on to try to bury this news - all he's got is ranting about being wrong (AKA everyone else is wrong) about one his racist soap boxes from 14 months ago.

The Pension pot is always going to be the easiest target for a competitive market. It gives them the biggest scope.morepork wrote: their pensions and civil rights (on account of him being as thick as pig shit) and has a lot of time on his hands.

Office of President stays vacant until end of Trump's term, Speaker of the House becomes Acting President AFTER resigning as Speaker
and Member of the House of Representatives & taking Presidential Oath
