I can't help feeling a lot of people are going to end up feeling a bit disappointed by the latest news.
Yes, there is definitely a possibility of Flynn singing like a canary and bringing everyone, including Trump, down with him, but it's a fairly weak charge considering the accusations against him.
The media is suggesting it is fact that he has agreed the charge for info, and yes I'm aware that happens in the real world, but what with all this 'fake news' crap flying around, it's hard to get excited about.
Fine and a possible prison term for up to 5 years.
Hmmm.
Scapegoat anyone?
Lets see if the net for charges widens over the coming days or weeks.

What would help is if Tillerson resigned.
There has been speculation that he will be fired. The WH and Trump has denied this, but they also may have been the source of the story originally. Put some bollocks out to the press via 'sources', they can then deny it. It doesn't happen and the result is 'fake news'.
If Tillerson walked, that would put things up a few notches.

Yep. I was a bit miffed when he was given the job considering his corporate background, but he has been the best Trump pick by far. The very model of diplomacy at times.

Anyone trying to represent the US abroad in a mature fashion with Trump's tweeting needs a minor miracle to survive. I'd agree that Tillerson has done pretty well, the question will be can the new boy be as sensible. Given a bit of what Ive read so far I doubt it but we shall see.

What new boy? Tillerson hasn't gone anywhere has he?

He probably thinks that the Tweet is definitive proof that he has done no wrong.
It may well convince some of his more dimwitted followers, but it's unlikely to convince people with more than 4 teeth.

Donnie has been a busy boy today.
If I didn't know better, I would've thought something was bothering him.
I like how ABC suspended Brian Ross for his erroneous report on Trump/Flynn. It's good to see the media held to account for mistakes.
It does beg the question however, of when Trump will be held accountable for his seemingly endless Tweets based on lies, half truths and misrepresentations???
He complains about fake news by creating fake news.

Its bad enough when a major newspaper undermines or attempts to undermine the legal process when they come out with crap like 'enemies of the people' but for Trump to attack the FBI is disgraceful, sadly for Trump it's just another disgraceful act

Yup. It's the tragedy of the internet age that some idiots believe they can post any old crap with an angry voice and it will be accepted as truth.
We actually encouraged that belief when we allowed H to post his prejudiced bollocks.
It was a microcosm of mailonline.

So, let me get this straight. Trump tweets:
I had to fire General Flynn because he lied to the Vice President and the FBI. He has pled guilty to those lies. It is a shame because his actions during the transition were lawful. There was nothing to hide!
This then looks like Trump has lied in previous statements regarding the sacking of Flynn.
It then 'turns out' that one of Trump's lawyers drafted the Tweet for Dan Scavino to post. Tiny hands had nothing to do with this potentially incriminating tweet.
What I don't get is why the lawyer, if indeed that story is true, would draft the tweet first person and in the style of the fat orange twat? Trump ends so many tweets with an exclamation mark. Perhaps the lawyer is really behind all the Twitter nonsense, or more likely, it's just another example of the incompetence and lack of intelligence of the president.

Which is more tragic - that people like Trump believe this? or that they're right (for a significant minority* of their readership)?
* Please tell me it's a minority; I need some straw to cling to here

From a new book out from a former campaign manger - 'Trump’s fast-food diet is a theme. “On Trump Force One there were four major food groups: McDonald’s, Kentucky Fried Chicken, pizza and Diet Coke,” the authors write.'
'cause what's going to save your fat orange ass when eating all that fast food is diet coke, regular coke just doesn't have the same health benefits to offset all that fat, salt and sugar. And people say the orange one doesn't understand science!

Isn't he a non-drinker having observed his brother die of being very much a drinker?

Yep, supposedly tea total and doesn't touch drugs. Quite how his brain has become so addled is anyone's guess.
