To whom are they drafted? From the pictures various relatives around the country are sending me, I doubt anything will go ahead!

Anyway, the postponement could be good news for Edinburgh if Glasgow have a few of their “stars” back for the re-arranged fixture?

If Toony was happy to chuck Nel in with no game time I'm sure it won't be an issue for the other two.

Very different situations.

Nel was able train and keep himself fit throughout his injury after the initial post injury/op stuff and ToonMac obviously didn't fancy Welsh or McCallum.

Nel looked decent shape but not sure they can go Nel/ZJRF combo when they are both lacking match sharpness.

I think with just the 2 games left we take the cautious route with him. There's no rush, Glasgow can break him in gently ahead of their big games to come.

He is still only 22 and although I know and probably could play every game from now but through to summer 2020 the schedule is full on for likely 1st team internationals so there is no rush.

The funny thing is he has been pretty good for Edinburgh this year when he's played. Just rank at international level. Glad he's had a couple of performances to be proud of as it's a shame when any player (for us) doesn't give a true showing of themselves.

No mention of Harley signing a new deal? I reckon that's a sensible piece of business. He's not going to be away in international duty and is a very serviceable domestic option. He's a senior player now too and I suspect he does a good job of setting the tone in training.

I hope he isn't but he makes every squad.

Her be way down the list for me behind even Crosbie and Fagerson as guys I'd want in the international set up.

But he is a very good club professional and it's a good sensible move to give him a new deal.

I remember when Harley broke on the scene I thought he would get the Scotland shirt and no one would shift him from it, but I think he got exposed a wee bit for Scotland and is a bit one dimensional for international level but he is more than capable of performing at the pro 14 level.

Not sure it is that good a move to be honest.

He's 5 or 6 weeks short of his 32nd birthday and will be away for internationals in the autumn and the world cup.

I'd suggest that he would now be a step down from Sarto.

Lets see what happens with internationals. He could well retire but it would be odd this close to a RWC.

Whilst he was never slow he also wasn't a player that relied on pace as much as nous and being in the right place at the right time so I don't think age is much of a factor.

EMB seems to think that Glasgow will pick up Hutchinson and Onojaife from the Northampton academy. Both age grade players but I don't see obvious spaces for either within the squad, unless Hutchinson is viewed as an option at ten.
