Really? I thought 10/12 was right. More of a distributor than anything else as far as I could tell.

Good to see Gibbins back.

Well Scott used to be considered a 10/12.

I'd say 12/10 but ...

Zebre game tonight not televised... In this day and age how hard would it be to stick it on youtube or on the website. Edinburgh game it is then.

Basically they're not allowed to because it would split the audience and the broadcaster would lose the viewing figures of people such as your good self. Makes it harder to get to deals in the long run.

Clubs also aren't wild in case it encourages some people to stay home at the end of a long hard work week.

So with the home semifinal secured and no European rugby to worry about, does Rennie rest players or look to keep winning games and maintain momentum?

Bit of both. Keep 1st XV fresh but give the fringe players some experience with a view to next season. Hastings should get a couple more starts minimum this season. Might give Finn the rocket he needs as well...

Suspect Rennie won't have a huge amount of say at 15, wing and 9 with Jackson, Jones and Horne off soon.

There are definitely a few players that could do with being looked after and Glasgow have the luxury of being able to do that. Seymour, JG, Dunbar and Brown spring to mind. Maybe Wilson as well.

Nice one Al.

Some great tries by the backs but it looks like a dominant forward display to me.

Some of those tries were a fair way from the post so Hastings must have had a good night with the tee. Looking great with the ball in hand as well but he does have options running perfect lines all over the pitch... Might be worth letting him keep the shirt.

Agree. He looked decent in the highlights with supporting runs and what have you. Was unfortunate to get the injury at the start of he season - could do with some other options at 10 at a national level.

Hope he starts the rest of the regular season fixtures.

MacDonald & Tagive get two year deals. Wouldn't say either has set the heather alight. Decent enough business if they are cheap and seen as squad cover.

Saturday should be interesting.
A rested Glasgow squad could make this one very close.
Avoidance of gift points (Aggh) and finishing the majority of scoring opportunities is a minimum requirement.

http://www.glasgowwarriors.org/news/18/ ... end-season

Glasgow Warriors loose head prop Ryan Grant is transitioning from sport to business at the end of the season following a 13-year career in rugby.

The 32-year old has played 111 times for the Warriors in two spells with the club and has represented his country 25 times.

In 2013, Grant was called up to the British & Irish Lions tour of Australia which they won.

One of few players to have represented three Scottish professional teams during his career, Grant played six times for the Borders and 14 times for Edinburgh before joining the Warriors.

After impressive displays in his first two seasons with Glasgow Grant was named in the Scotland squad for the 2012 summer tour to Australia where he made his debut in a victory against the Wallabies.

A year later, Warren Gatland called him up to his British & Irish Lions squad following injury to Gethin Jenkins.

He played three times for the Lions and was named on the bench for the final test against Australia.

Grant previously served with the Royal Signals and has also played for the Combined Services’ under-21 team.

He scored the winning try for the Army in their 23-13 victory against the Royal Navy at Portsmouth in December 2005, a result that secured the Inter-Services Under-21 Championship for his team.

Away from rugby, Grant owns and runs the Garden Shed Drinks Company with Warriors teammate Ruaridh Jackson.

Their bespoke gin is now on sale across Glasgow.

Speaking exclusively to Warriors TV, Ryan Grant said: “Now is the right time to hang up my boots for both my body and my mind.

“The club has been a huge part of my life and a fantastic experience for me. I can attribute nearly everything in my life to this rugby club it will always mean an awful lot to me.

“There are so many games that stand out for me. Ulster back to back at home were two of the most physical games of my life and being part of a title winning season was pretty special.

“It was always an honour to represent my country too. My first cap, beating Australia in Australia was pretty special and any 6 Nations win was an amazing feeling.

“I am so embedded in this Glasgow Warriors, so is my family. I’ve invested so much of my time and my body in Glasgow that I’ll always be a supporter.”

I don't think I'll ever understand what happened with Grant. I don't think the changes in the scrum laws are reason enough for such a rapid decline.

To be fair to him he has tried to get back on the wagon year after year and it just hasn't happened for him.

Best of luck to him but at just 32 I can't help but think there was a lot of unrecognised potential in Ryan Grant.

PS I wonder if this makes room at LH for Gordon Reid to return.

I think Dell or Sutherland may shift across given Edinburgh have signed the saffer.

Wrt to Grant I just think he hit a terrific purple patch for a year/18months.

He was unremarkable for the borders and Edinburgh. He only played 20 times across 4 or 5 seasons for them.

I think the Saffer signing confirms that McCallum will be primarily viewed as a TH as well.

The LH situation depends on what happens with Dickinson. Retirement is a distinct possibility.

Scarlets 7 - 0 after 2 penalties and a kick off the post, the touch judge on the near side has decided that Bhatti is folding, looks pretty even to me between him and Samson

8-0 at half time, Scarlets should have had Owens in the bin, quite alot of cynical stuff from the scarlets but they have the crowd and Clancey who doesnt want to yellow card a home player first

Wilson , Shingler, Owens or Barclay are going to have a yellow card in this game as they are going at each other full on

Scarlets score a try against the run of play after Clancey refusing a pretty clear cut penalty for holding on

Fair play to scarlets taking their chances
