Did you see the Chisora v Whyte fight, fucking heavies ;)

To be fair you will notice that once Joshua has landed one heavy shot the opposition usually look somewhat stunned at his power and look for a way out, I can't remember Molina landing a single shot in that fight. The trouble with AJ is there aren't really any next step fighters, he has to fight onw of the other title holders or it will look like a terrible mismatch, the Klitschko fight should be a little better I hope.

Take your point N . ! Like to think AJ has had tougher sparring tho' . I know he has to fight whats put in front of him but that was booth boxing at its worst . If he beats Klits no doubt he will earn mega bucks in the USA . Did notice that Klits made reference to the fact they both share the same sparring opponents . You'd want good money for that job !

I think AJ hits harder than many think/expect. As N said Molina was stunned from the minute Joshua hit him.

It is going to be interesting to see how AJ deals with the jab of an opponent who can keep him at range.

I don't think the big money fights for him are in the USA though. There is only really Wilder in the US and I can't see that being a massive PPV draw over there. Parker, Fury, Haye, Ortiz are all fights probably best had UK venues of varying size.

[quote="Discreet Hooker"]Sky sports getting all excited about Kell Brook v Amir Khan in the new year . Venue possibly Sheffield .

Think Khan has to go for it . His big money days in the US are surely over .

In fairness , its a match up I'd look forward to .

Sky Christmas boxing team pundits getting excited over this possible match up . General opinion is that the fight has come at the right time for Brook and the wrong time for Khan. Certainly no love lost btwn the fighters . Both of course have a punchers chance but Brook I would suggest has the better chin . Nothing datewise yet of course but surely a massive payday for both .

One of the pundits stated that Khans life o/s of he ring is currently an ongoing circus . I must have missed something or does anyone know what that refers too ?

Basically boils down to his family don't like her, she isn't a traditional type of Muslim wife and IIRC she has accused his family of treating her a bit like a slave. She's moved back to NYC/LA and I think he is going with her.

As for the fight, will need to see how Brook comes back from having is face caved in but think either he wins by KO or AK on points.

Okay , right . I know AK was shagging anything with a pulse in Spain quite recently . Perhaps his current wife doesn't understand him .

Khan doesn't have much of a chance of beating Brook, the problem being Khan's chin as per usual, Brook has a good chin, Amir doesn't have knockout power at elite level as we have seen before, Khan's only chance would be if it goes the distance, I can't see that happening as Brook is bound to land a clean one at some point.

DeGale fights Badou Jack on Saturday night to unify two of the SM belts, DeGale can look very good at times but always seems to switch off for the middle rounds. I haven't seen that much of Jack but judging by the George Groves result DeGale has a good chance of taking this one.

Apparently DeGale has had a S+C coach in camp for the first time so that might make a difference rather than the usual rounds 4-10 rest he seems to take.

Jack isn't all that good IMO. It is as good a chance as DeGale will get to be Ring champion.

DeGale has put a pic on line (can't access it on work laptop), he looks in as good shape as he ever has. Which is positive.

Good luck to him . Never easy fighting an away fixture . Whatever the outcome, he's got some serious opposition and paydays in the UK awaiting .

Very close fight. Tends to be Jacks MO. I thought it was a draw but credit to Degale for surviving that last round. Showed a bit of bottle.

If Jack goes to LHW then Degale v Smith could be a goer.

A good fight that one, can't complain at the draw as that is how I had the fight, it was all square after 9 then DeGale won 10 & 11 clearly and the last was clearly 10-8 in Jack's favour.

My respect for DeGale increased exponentially after seeing his resilience in that final round.

Well done DeGale . Its only his arrogance that has kept him from being a national boxing hero . You certainly can't argue agin his boxing record and his willingness to fight anyone put in front of him .

Yeah, he stopped doing that thing at the end of fights where he raises his fist to the sky like he's in highlander or something.

It will be interesting to see how this effects Callum Smith, he's mandatory challenger for DeGale's belt iirc.

Well I got that wrong, he's Mandatory challenger for Jack's belt (WBC), he's third in line for the IBF that DeGale holds.

The WBC have ordered a Smith v Jack fight which is good news for Callum, I fancy him to take Jack.

Jack wont take that fight. Struggles to make weight apparently and one last cut to fight Smith is a no win for him if he moves up. If he is moving up he should do so quickly so Smith v Dirrell (I guess?) can be made.

How the actual fuck does Eubank Jnr make it into the WBC rankings at SMW?

You're right, Mayweather said Jack v DeGale would be Jack's last fight at SM, that leaves a Smith v Dirrell contest for the vacant title.

Jack to fight Callum Smith . Jack must think we keep producing these fighters out of a sack .

Good luck Callum anyway .

I thought Jack gave up his belt last week?

Brook v old glass jaw not happening as brook correctly won't agree to a 30/70 split.

Can see this getting sorted . Khan is running out of top o' the bill fights . Surely his last chance of a good pay~day and if he loses , then quite possibly his last fight that anyone would be interested in .

Anyone see the ITV PPV bill on Saturday, if not my synopsis is:

Andrew Selby - Won every single round against a fighter who has had three world title fights, looks ready for a title shot (preferrably not against Zou Shiming).

David Price - Really, he's hopeless, he was blowing badly by the 5th round and proves he has nothing in the way of punch resistance.

Ryder v Etches - Etches overhyped, no evidence of why he had an 85% knockout rate as he didn't trouble Ryder at all, but then Etches hasn't beaten anyone of any note throughout his career. Ryder looked solid as usual, not World level by any means.

Eubank Jr - A very solid display, showed great speed and good punching accuracy, didn't really get caught at all in the fight. The only reason for him to have moved to SM was to avoid Golovkin (understandably), the problem being he doesn't have the power at SM and is more naturally a Middleweight. He may win a few fights but I suspect he will come unstuck against a genuine SM.

Kid Galahad - Re-arranged opponent who was hopeless so nothing can be gleaned from the fight.
