Did look like it, did they show a replay? Double move from Hill as well.

That is an insane finish.

Turns out having a decent distributor @ 10 means we can score tries. Who knew.

Top finish May.

So is jumping out of a tackle not a thing now?

I'd have said that was a jump to avoid a tackle myself. Clearly jumps up and doesn't dive forwards.

Well done though.

19 year old Varney is a better scrum half than Ben Youngs.

Kay's just explained it doesn't count if in the act of scoring. Never knew that, doesn't feel right though somehow.

The commentator explained - you can't jump into a tackle, but you can dive for the line.

Do you need a list?

Agree, better weather has helped but Eng. at least look like a 15 man team with Ford at FH, who keeps the opposition on the back foot by doing things at pace.

TBH, so many things are still illegal, but allowed around the try-line I'm not going to bitch too much about something that's actually legal around the try line

Adequate, providing they win the 2nd half as well. Mistakes don't get punished by Italy.

Even given lockdown, you don’t have enough time on your hands.

Watson looks to have put on a stone or two but doesn’t have the Saracens excuse :)

If Farrell absolutely HAS to play - can he wear 9 in the future? Can't be worse than the incumbent, and gets him out of the way
I'm assuming you didn't see the moment he stood in at scrum-half then???

Double movement from Hill, or just another un-defendable sliding/driving ruck. Forward pass from Daly looked at by the TMO and not called. Fantastic finish from May though.

It's somewhat forced at times, but much better even if only against Italy

Italy putting up a reasonable show for a side composed of the two worst teams in the Pro 14 who have lost all but one of their last 20 games in that league. A total mismatch and England will pile on the points in the second half.

Sadly not. Killer hangover from virtual beer tasting last night....

We are so much better with Ford at 10.
we are so much better if we bypass Farrell when attacking.
Showing far more ambition and trying to maintain continuity.
Desire to spread the ball and involve the wingers.
Italy are helping us by a wretched kicking game, allowing far too much space and time, and a passive gainline defence.
Youngs not helping us by ...er...being Youngs.
Overall, not bad. A step up from last week and at least some desire to move the ball.

I'm willing to worry about Hill's double movement if Italy stop trying to kill the ball near their line off feet. But for as long as they're cheating on defence I'm not going to worry about attack
