Tovey was MOTM
The one real cringe worthy bit of play out of a lot of bad play came in the 1st half. Kennedy correctly took a tap penas 5-10m out as there was a 4 on 2 overlap and they then proceeded to put a pass on the ground. Was laughable.OptimisticJock wrote:82 minutes to get the BP against a team that hasn't scored in about 240 minutes llf
I can't remember the last time I went on there. I'm all for optimism but let's temper it with reality. The place us a joke.Big D wrote:The one real cringe worthy bit of play out of a lot of bad play came in the 1st half. I occasionally lurk in the Edinburgh Supporters page. Apparently Edinburgh have tied their most ever wins in the league and are showing "real signs of progress" according to some. Jesus H Christ.
I believe the UK law can consider verbal agreements as binding? I am sure Eugene could clear that up.Did anyone see Mark Palmer's article in the Sunday Times? Noticed on Twitter - the summary:
- According to a Toulon source, deal fell through not due to injury, but failure to agree compensation with SRU
- Gilcho was shown round Toulon's facilities, with the deal apparently in the bag
- SRU threatened legal action unless Toulon paid £240k to compensate for a 'verbal agreement' GG had made for a further year extension
- Toulon offered to pay a fee, and to send a full team to Murrayfield for a friendly
Interesting! Leaves you wondering about Gilcho's motivation for next season and/or naivety in thinking he could move. Of course it's speculation, but intriguing nonetheless....
Is it not just Scots law?Big D wrote:From the Edinburgh forum:I believe the UK law can consider verbal agreements as binding? I am sure Eugene could clear that up.Did anyone see Mark Palmer's article in the Sunday Times? Noticed on Twitter - the summary:

Dunno. I wouldn't be at all surprised if the rugby contracts were governed by English law - believe it or not you generally have a choice. Under English law most contracts can be concluded verbally. However I'd be surprised if he had done all that is necesary to be bound by the law of contractgiven that rugby contracts normall are the subject of written agreements.Chunks Baws wrote:Is it not just Scots law?Big D wrote:From the Edinburgh forum:I believe the UK law can consider verbal agreements as binding? Who? Turner must be mid 20s now. Tick tock.Chunks Baws wrote:Strong team for Leinster.

23. Two more years takes him to 25 which is make it or break it age for a hooker I reckon but worth having him on the books to find out as surely we lose on of the other two in that time.hugh_woatmeigh wrote:Who? Turner must be mid 20s now. Tick tock.Chunks Baws wrote:Strong team for Leinster.

My mistake. I still think there are too many of these types rattling about the pro clubs although it used to be a lot worse. By these types I mean virtually untried, untested, unproven guys that are well into their 20s. They're not even journeymen.switchskier wrote:23. You aren't missing much here. Embra hanging on with some decent defence, helped out by some fairly daft attack from Leinster. We are lucky to be in this, and lucky to have only one player in the bin.hugh_woatmeigh wrote:Surprisingly close so far.
I'm watching Glaws v Exeter though. Grim... 0-0 after 35 mins.
Think he's on the wing.Matt Ha wrote:SHC pulled at half time. Fair enough given some of his passes.
