Not sure if you guys watched Bath v Glos in the LV= last night, but Gavlet had his best game so far, looking pretty good in a very callow side. One moment of magic for Wilson's try.

Good good. Hutchinson started for saints again too. All good news.

I guess Gavlet is way off challenging priestland in important games for the 22 shirt?

Yeah, probably behind Priestland and Bowden for the 22 shirt, bumping up one during the AIs, 6Ns and LV when Ford's away.

Was live on BT, so you'll probably be able to find the whole match on YouTube, or highlights once the weekend's done.

Gavlet got a good 60 minutes yesterday in front of the cameras - getting better with each match. Some really nice touches, just lacking a little time on the ball, and maybe a little commitment in the tackle - both of which are completely understandable at this stage.
He's probably played himself up the order over the last couple of weeks; and now 3rd choice FH, ahead of switching a Bowden or a Fotuali'i to FH.
With Priestland crocked again on his return from injury, and Ford still away with England for another fortnight, he's really getting the chance to show what he's made of.

Of course, last night's match was on BT for those with access; and being Premiership, wil be up online here probably this evening. Just seen - his start against Leicester in the AWC is also up there; thought they only posted up the Prem matches

That's good. It'd be great to have another 10 playing regularly

Liam Williams to Sarries cannot be good for Maitland.

Sarries had to sign LW to fill the utter cunt void that will be left with Ashton heading off.

I don't get too worried about other teams players being cunts until they enter the Callum Clark levels of ball baggery.

Great signing for Sarries.

Excellent tries from Maitland and Visser, and a good one from Scott over the weekend.

Thats pretty good for Scott, he is a class act but for some reason the Scottish coaches have always preferred home based players, Scott is learning what Barclay, Beattie, Hogg, Brown etc have all learned

But Laidlaw is just that crucial?

what complete pish.

TTRI
Cowan
Maitland
Visser
Jones
Taylor
Laidlaw

all of these could be seen as 50/50 or worse and got the nod over a Scottish based player

I don't think I'll ever be able to forgive VC for how many valuable minutes of international experience & caps he wasted on Blair Cowan.

Matt Scott scores again for Gloucester vs LaRochelle.

laidlaw had a pretty good game as well. Pundits mentioned he had been told to work on his attacking game by Big Vern.

Maitland bagged a couple on Saturday, the second of which was excellent. He's on form at the mo.
