The players must have known there was a bigger picture at play for the SRU in that game. Given it's the SRU that pull the purse strings there a chance Glasgow benefit from Edinburgh making the play offs.

The Irony of all this is that Glasgow desperately need a Cockerill - back to basics, get rid of the egos, too many players believing their own hype and thinking they can just show up and a rotten attitude. Edinburgh need a Rennie - someone to develop their attacking game after honing a solid foundation and a healthy mindset.

Glasgow are absolutely incapable of winning the pro 14. They may win their semi but they will get obliterated in a final away from home.

Why Rennie didn't give the 10 shirt to Hastings after his int-window performances I will never know.

Even in the early season run when they couldn’t lose, the performances were often littered with mistakes. This hasn’t improved.

The pack isn’t good enough to win the title - lacking in dynamic power. The halfbacks are not providing any control.

I can see Edinburgh winning again next week.

Ah sorry I forgot your ability to make everything that goes wrong in Scottish rugby Russel's fault. There was me thinking he didnt have a great game but was by no means the first.

To be fair, I dont have an answer to your question although mainly cos I dont know what you mean by "acted like a professional on the rugby pitch". Would struggling with his goal kicking and then going away and working on it til his percentages were up there with the best count?

Johnson is the best centre at Glasgow right now. So 12 makes sense. Not sure how effective Dunbar is at 13 so can't debate that one too much...

Where would you play Jacko? He's never really been a bench option under Rennie. He obviously feels that Horne offers more flexibility covering 10 and 12 as opposed to Jacko covering 15 and 10.
