Re: Trump
He could probably make a 2nd suit out of the excess material on any given suit he does wear. Maybe he refuses to let the tailor measure him and cut the cloth properly for fear he'll contract Taylor's Syndrome, or still more oddly does he think all that extra cloth hides the fat?

Re: Trump
I don't know. Maybe Trump likes the baggy look and to him it's akin to slobbing on the settee with a t-shirt and some jogging pants on. He might even be buying off the rack in a size to fit someone even fatter than himSandydragon wrote:Theres only so much blame to can lay on the tailor.Digby wrote:An ongoing query this one, given he's likely spending more on clothing than the average joe how is it possible his clothes fit this badly?

We call it sometimes tippy-top shape. And it’s a great, great place.” [/quote]

It's one of the greatest speeches many people have said. He's there to thank Flotus and the staff for arranging eggs for the kids, and then he lurches into a semi-coherent ramble on his achievements, the military, and I think Obama and the Wall though for all it really is a great speech I've forgotten some of the actual detail

Just pure class boasting about military might during a Easter speech.

Talking about professional, diplomatic, mature, presidential speeches...

He literally calls his script "boring", throws it away, and goes off on a racist rant instead.

I doubt Trump worships anything but himself and money. Mentioning God occasionally keeps some of his base happy so he is probably reminded frequently to throw a reference in.Digby wrote:Trump seems a fair target for a lot of jibes, but is he really a god botherer? He is somewhat his own god, but that doesn't seem to bother him much.

It would seem God has stepped in to loan the Kushner's a shitload of money

I'm assuming it is God who's stumped up the case, if not one might be inclined to think whoever has put up the money is expecting one hell of a policy change from team Kushner Trump. Nobody can surely be making the funds available to the Kushners on a straightforward business transaction as it just looks like money down the drain.

Re: Trump
If Trump can tear himself away from his real focus on the everyday executive duties in his role and the latest in Syria will he have a moment to respond to the My Attorney Got Arrested latest and finally get around to firing Mueller? And then what happens next? Will there be a revolt by the GOP or will they double down and try to sweep it under the carpet? And will voters care if in a democracy a President shuts down an investigation in what's not an everyday piece of political work?

Re: Trump
Trump has tweeted that it's a witch hunt, which I struggle to care about but really in most leaders it'd be poor form to disparage one's own legal system so, but worse he's noted that the raid on his attorney's office is the end of attorney client privilege, and that's likely misleading in the extreme. I don't know but I assume investigators will not be allowed unfettered access to attorney work product and the courts will employ a special master (is that the right term?) to review material and decide what can be handed over to the justice department investigators.
