Have to say he is. I feel like the injuries to Finn and Hastings have been good for him, seems to have made him step up and realise he can organise from the base he doesn't have to just rely on his 10.

It was so much easier to blame Them. It was bleakly depressing to think They were Us. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

Yeah not good.
Some pretty poor kicking from a few so far.
True. Was thinking if this turns into an arm wrestle that favours France on account of them being humungous, but actually it mightn't be so bad, we're pretty scrappy

Also on other matters. A scrum going backwards is not automatically a penalty. It isn't clear other than going backwards was wrong with the Scotland scrum there.
Great defence. Was quite funny in the build-up. I could swear Wayne barnes said “don’t touch! Don’t touch it, Richie”. Then Johnny Gray looked up and took his hands off the ball.

Then by Weir and then by Kebble and Ritchie.
We need to wake up. Being as quiet as that and being 12 all is a huge boost.
Yeah I think we have another gear here... maybe France do too tho

Hmm. A bit scrappy. Was hoping for better than that. Galthié will be far from happy and I expect a more controlled approach in the 2nd half. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Louis Carbonel at 10 sooner than expected.

Is that a cliche? As in, is anyone saying that?

Very happy to be even at half time. Some good moments and some very dull ones. Need to sharpen up or France will take advantage of their physical dominance eventually.

Well almost every british pundit
Ah, well, need to stop paying attention to the pundits then, no?
