It's worth watching Tories at War, a C4 documentary that was shown a couple of weeks ago (available on All4), following various Tory MPs (and some others) over the last 8 months or so. Interesting to see their views on Boris, Rees-Mogg etc. It gives a fascinating insight into the despicable Crispin Odey.

I have to say if anyone can find out what the fall of the Romania government might mean in this it'd be appreciated. Are they even available to approve either a deal or an extension?

I saw that the other night. There are some utterly odious tears in politics and amongst their hangers on.

You can always rely on the DUP; secret members of the ‘rebel alliance’

Apparently a deal has been agreed, one which treats NI as different to the mainland UK. I'm sure the differences are really important but I can't help feeling that this is May's pig of a deal with some lippy on.
Farage hates it so not all bad.

If the DUP will not sign up to it that gives the ERG loons an easy out not to vote with Boris. Which leaves Boris needing a big chunk of Labour support

It will be interesting to see how many of the ERG are onside and how many Labour MPs will defy their whip to vote for the deal as well, not to mention those Conservatives who lost their whip.
Saturday could be really interesting.

2nd referendum amendment seems not to be happening, in a move that will surely shock the nation Corbyn wasn't able to commit the Labour Party to an actual position.

Juncker is reported to have said no extension. So if the MPs don't vote for this deal......

That's not something to pay any mind to - he's saying that to try and get this deal through. If the EU has a choice between no deal and an extension, there's no way they'll be the ones to make no deal happen.

Ok I won't worry my pretty little head about it then.

He also didn't say no extension, he said something else, no prolonging was it? In any event it's not his call, but he left oodles of wriggle room that one can simply call it something else

Ah, so Boris's gambit is to get any ol' POS deal on the table in parliament, knowing the DUP won't go for it, then comply with the Benn Act knowing that the EU won't extend because there is nothing further to negotiate?

Meanwhile Corbyn, lifelong Eurosceptic, confirms no Labour MP voting for the government accidentally delivering Brexit will have the whip removed

NB: I haven't personally checked the veracity of this, but it passes the sniff test, given that we know the national prediction is for a 6.7% decline. The source is usually very good at making sure it's accurate in what it posts.
And no, I don't know the figure for NI, nor why they're not included here.

Presumably the figures weren't done on the basid that it's now official UK Government policy to not give a shit about NI.

15 year projection isn't it? so they're probably predicting a unified Ireland by that time.
Mind you, they include Scotland, so there may be a lack of joined up thinking in there...

Two aims, to stop no deal and to give extra time for actual scrutiny. As is if Boris gets the deal approved tomorrow he could later yank it, and he wouldn't have needed to request an extension 'cause the Commons would have approved a deal. And actually having time to scrutinise the deal should be wanted by everyone
