That's interesting. Anyone know if he has played any club games there?

Seems random. But perhaps a sign there is a big hole between Nel and Fagerson in terms of age with not many options a THP.

Edinburgh sign what would have been Glasgow's 4th or 5th choice hooker as a TH. Am I the only one that finds this hilarious?

He wants to change position, they need another TH. Makes sense to me.

I think the SRU have a hand in this tbh. It was Bryce's choice to move to THP apparently.

I doubt he is coming over to be much more than a member of the extended squad to begin with and expect he'll get a lot of game time down Heriots way. Edinburgh are a solid scrummaging unit and that is the only real thing Bryce will need to work at to transfer over. Lifting at lineouts should be easy enough and he is mobile enough around the park.

He is likely to be 3rd or 4th choice if the conversion goes well. Berghan should step up to 2nd choice and I would imagine there will be another TH to come in.

Can he be any worse than Andress? Still a weird signing.

Strauss over Dean? I'd rather Beard than either tbh.

And the continued inclusion of Andress even though he's not very good and it's going to make for two very inexperienced backup TH props next season. Could be another rough year.

One more year. That's all. Just one more year and he's gone.

Are you on about Solomons? There was absolutely no merit in giving him a fresh deal after the last two years. The squad is at the end of a cycle with a ton of guys recently signed or out of contract/leaving. Even if Edinburgh get someone in the season after next they'll be stuck with a squad that Solomons pulled together with 2 years left on their deals.

It would make far more sense to have recruited somebody new and let them have a hand in the signings. The whole thing is just f*cking bizarre.

That is actually a good looking Edinburgh team. Apart from Strauss even the backline seems worth watching

Kinghorn off early.

Better of the 2 games so far.

Excellent break from Scott

Finding it quite difficult to follow two games but Edinburgh aren't playing too bad from what I have seen. Some lapses in concentration but that is where 'big' teams will punish you. Two tries from two mistakes that shouldn't have been made. They're still init.

More bad tackling. 20 10.

I'm going cross eyed.

That last play sums up Edinburgh's problem. Get a scrum inside their half. Win a free kick. Decide to kick it out. I just dont get it

They desperately need a Kellock type player at the moment to bring it all together. I couldn't even tell you who the captain is with certainty, is it Ford?

Yeah, they are actually playing ok but they just lack ambition in everything. I kind of feel that Glasgow a few years ago decided they were going to stop trying to scrap wins and were going to impose themselves. Edinbugh are yet to do that

Yup. It requires someone with a plan, a vision who can then bring in like minded players, coaches and backroom staff that buy into that vision. I don't follow the prem but surely there must be an ambitious, young coach about? Cardiff have taken a wee risk with their coach and trust me, it will pay off soon.
