Being replaced my Biggar, allegedly. It will be good for people to see his off field personality, given everyone who’s met him in person says he’s a good bloke.

I always thought him highly underrated as a player - suspect he will be the same as a pundit. ITV trading up.

I've heard from someone who was in charge of the COVID Testing at the clubs that Bigger was a pleasure to deal with, top bloke apparently.

Coventry's very own George Smith (and Harry Mallinder) also joining the NFL pathway.

Mallinder as a kicker/punter

I was kind of holding out hope Mallinder had been quietly working on his deficiencies and turned in to a Jordie Barret-esque 12 who would be reappearing in England soon.

Can't blame George Smith for having a pop. He's a big lad but what he's earning at Coventry will be pocket change to what he could earn in the NFL.

Yep. Just making a practice squad will be a huge pay rise. Good on him

At least he's trying a vocation that is unlikely to involve him having to tackle anyone. Smart kid

Crying shame that nothing could ever be made of Mallinder. So much potential.

Very sensible appointment. Codling was struggling and Dimes might just get a bit more out of the squad.

I trust he has resigned his RFU consulting role.

Agreed. Diamond's expert at getting results on very few resources. Very glad they've not thrown Codling over entirely - the results are hardly his fault and this way he will be learning a hell of a lot from Dimes.

In other nuggety old forward coaches news, Richard Cockerill is the new coach of Georgia. Not sure if that's good for them or not - he's certainly experienced and will do great things with the forward beef available to him there, but will he be able to take them on to the next level?

Codling stepping away from day to day coaching isn't a good sign. Sounds like he's being benched. I'd have preferred to see him keep going in his role but with Dimes offering a helping hand and being there to generate his normal "us against the world" mentality in the squad.

Codling gone once the lawyers take their %.
Dimes staying until ‘26 and and not leaving his role at the RFU…

Ouch, I bet Codling wishes he's stayed in France and not bothered with the hastle of being the top guy.

massive conflict of interest

I'd have good money Falcons 'de-professionalise' in less than a year.
