Lawrence is a halfwit. Takes Slade's line and then offloads in a twatty manner

We looked so flat footed in defence. Can’t really comment about attack

Other than from lineouts, I wonder how many times Mitchell has passed. It's like we are playing with a built-in inferiority complex. Right on HT we showed a bit of enterprise.

Blown a walk-in there, MSmith should have looked right.
Eng can't be as bad 2nd arf, & Sco may be a bit dischuffed with the narrow lead from all their efforts.
(looking for positives there..)

Indeed. A return to daft pens, kicking too much and iffy defence.

We’ve only had the ball a few times in their half and then v slow apart from when Slade has kicked away,

Tough watch

Those replays at HT of the break, I'm going to be less critical of Marcus and Ollie.
I don't think Marcus realised the tackler from behind him was that close, and the passes, in or out, were tricky without being set.
Ollie's offload comes off a Scottish knee/thigh, so not an appalling offload, just unlucky to catch a deflection.

Overall for the half, before the clock was in the red, I was getting ready for a nap.

As ever, defending too narrow, and as scared of VDM as we were of Dupont

Good thing Scotland don't have two DVMs

England now need to up the tempo, they've worked the Scottish pack in the first half and now need to run the legs off them so our bench can make an impact. Discipline has to be a lot better though.

Fuck me. It’s like France was a bit of a lucky break due to them having hands of vasoline. This is shite on another level of shite.,no structure, little energy, no attack, no clue. It’s almost like teams developed on spreadsheets aren’t very good.,

Borthwick rope a dope. IBWT.

This might be unfounded optimism...

Scotland seem composed with their attacks. Nice measure play from the backs waiting for an opportunity to present itself without forcing it.

For once we don't knock it on and it's 3 points.

One awful kick aside, what else has he done? Good tackle on vdM earlier, those are a rarity for and England player.

10 - 10 after 56 m.
Sco leaking pens. a bit.
Eng only hope atm., unless they decide to run with the ball.

I’ve seen waxworks looks more creative and adaptable than England!

No, go for the scrum under the posts. We've got them there and they are on a warning.

Symptom of playing Borthwick/Wigglesworth strategy.

Randall's kicking game is appalling for an international 9.

In our 22 with those opensides for Scotland? No thanks
